Deadpool & Wolverine Are Joined By 15 Other X-Men & Marvel Characters In A MCU Art

As Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson gets ready to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine fight the X-Men universe in new Deadpool 3 fan art. The Multiverse Saga is getting ready for perhaps one of the biggest installments yet as Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 is on its way. As Deadpool will join the MCU on a seemingly permanent basis, time will tell how the Merc with a Mouth makes it into the iconic Avengers-based franchise.

With principal photography almost completed, the world is patiently waiting for the Deadpool 3 trailer to be released. In the meantime, digital artist BenSolo_Cup shared a new Deadpool 3 poster, bringing one of Wade’s most notable Marvel comic arcs to life in live-action.

The Deadpool 3 poster, dubbing the film Deadpool and Wolverine Kill The Fox Universe, features 15 X-Men characters from the original movies as well as the MCU’s Time Variance Agency. Deadpool and Wolverine Kill The Fox Universe is also a hilarious nod to the infamous Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe storyline from 2011 by Cullen Bunn and Dalibor Talajić.

Is Deadpool 3 Actually Adapting Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe?

Despite plot details being under wraps, there have been a lot of signs that Deadpool 3 will do some variation of the Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe storyline. While it would obviously be modified to fit the Fox-Marvel foundation, set photos have indicated that Deadpool 3 is definitely addressing the end of the original X-Men movie universe. From the destroyed 20th Century Fox logo seen on the battlefield to the return of Fox-Marvel characters like Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, this will most likely be the final time the audience sees this franchise.

It would be in true fashion for Deadpool 3 to not only join the MCU, but literally end the franchise where he first debuted. With all of the creative struggles that existed during Fox’s X-Men movies era, having Wade – who has literally referenced the complicated continuity with those films – end it for good would make Deadpool 3 a comedic trilogy finale. This would also be appropriate as the MCU is getting ready to reboot the X-Men in their main universe.

With rumors also swirling around that other Marvel multiverse players will be showing up in Deadpool 3, time will tell if Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe is indeed the direction for the threequel. But given the massive secrecy surrounding Deadpool 3, Marvel Studios is clearly looking to wrap up the trilogy with a bang. Hopefully, as Deadpool 3 approaches its July 26 release date, Marvel Studios will be getting ready to drop the first trailer of Wade’s MCU entry.
