An amazing fan-made, stop-motion Star Trek: Prodigy “holiday special” celebrates the animated series’ upcoming Christmas premiere on Netflix. Star Trek: Prodigy gained Netflix as its new streaming home for season 1 and season 2 after the show was dropped from Paramount+. A dedicated fan campaign was organized to help bring Star Trek: Prodigy back, which included renting an airplane to fly a #SaveStarTrekProdigy banner over Los Angeles, including Netflix headquarters. Excitingly, Star Trek: Prodigy now has the potential to reach Netflix’s massive global audience.
On Twitter/X, Star Trek: Prodigy fan Jeremiah (@CaptainJeremia1) put together a stunning stop-motion video to usher in the series’ Netflix debut on Christmas Day, December 25th. Using voice and audio clips from Star Trek: Prodigy season 1, Jeremiah placed his action figures of the USS Protostar’s crew as well as Hologram Janeway and Vice Admiral Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) on the bridge playset of the USS Voyager. Check out the video below:
Star Trek: Prodigy‘s executive producers Kevin and Dan Hageman and Aaron J. Waltke posted their appreciation for Jeremiah’s brilliantly produced Star Trek: Prodigy video. Check out their Tweets below:
