Unbeknownst to his family and friends, Wally has been brought to the Gallery of Moments. As he wakes up, the Flash freaks out at the sight of a statue representing what his mind perceives an Arc Angle to look like.

The Arc Angles Are Changing the DC Universe’s Cosmic Order

The Stillness Looking for Arc Angles DC

After breaking through an atomic mirror, Flash developed a new ‘side-stepping’ ability that allowed him to phase between different layers of reality. These alternate planes of existence were filled with creatures that perplexed someone as knowledgeable as Wally. Strange events began occurring in Central City, spurred on by Gorilla Grodd and his army. During his work to understand these grand changes, Flash encountered the cosmic entities known as the Stillness, who were looking for a mysterious being known as an Arc Angle. As the cosmic phenomenons began piling up, the Stillness expressed concern the Arc Angles could be driven away.

Despite the statue Flash sees in the Gallery of Moments, that’s not exactly what an Arc Angle actually looks like, but rather, what Flash’s mind interprets it as. Much like the Abstracts of the Marvel Universe, the Arc Angles are beings who are so grand, their true nature is almost impossible for a human to grasp. While information about the Arc Angles is limited, they appear to be more advanced than the Monitors or the New Gods. When their true nature is revealed, the Arc Angles could be revealed to be the mightiest beings in the DC Universe.

Are the Arc Angles the DC Universe’s Most Powerful Entities?

The Quintessence DC Comics

As all-powerful entities whose appearance changes depending on perspective, the Arc Angles sound quite similar to the Endless. But it’s hard to say where the Arc Angles place in DC’s cosmic hierarchy. But as more information about these entities comes out, changes to the DCU’s most powerful beings are inevitable. Those like the Highfather, the Phantom Stranger, or even God’s right hand the Spectre might pale in comparison to the true majesty of the Arc Angles. While the Arc Angles power remains to be seen, DC Comics’ supernatural order is undoubtedly going to change for good.

The Flash #7 is available now from DC Comics.
