James Gunn’s Justice League comes to life with several actors being imagined as iconic DC Universe heroes alongside David Corenswet’s Superman. The DCEU movie timeline has finished its run after ten years, as DC Studios is starting from scratch with a brand new DC Universe. Being led by Gunn and Peter Safran, several movies and TV shows will be a fresh start for the DC icons, which will ideally eventually lead to a new Justice League project.
As Gunn’s DC Universe isn’t arriving on the big screen until 2025, fans are still imagining what characters will eventually join the franchise and who will be playing them. In a new Justice League concept trailer by Stryder HD, the rest of Gunn’s superhero franchise gets pitched with a full line-up of heroes.
The Justice League concept trailer explores various popular Hollywood actors taking on the roles of some of DC’s most iconic heroes, with a lot of them being fan-favorite casting choices. The fan video also pitches various actors as major villains in the DC Universe, most likely to serve as the Injustice League or the Legion of Doom in Gunn’s franchise.

The first 11 projects in the new DC Universe have been revealed, and while all of them are exciting, some rank higher than others in anticipation.
Every Justice League Character Who Has Been Confirmed For The DC Universe So Far
Gunn’s Superman movie will be the first DC Universe to focus on one of the iconic Justice League members, as Corenswet’s Superman gets his story told in the new franchise. However, there will be a few canonical Justice League members in Superman, as Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi, and Anthony Carrigan have been tapped to play Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, Mister Terrific, and Metamorpho, respectively. Whether or not Superman will feature any references to other Justice League characters remains to be seen at this point.
DC Studios is also rebooting Batman as the Dark Knight has The Brave and The Bold movie coming up, while Wonder Woman’s home world will be explored in the Paradise Lost TV show. Hal Jordan and John Stewart will be headlining the Lanterns TV show, and Booster Gold has his own solo series coming up too on Max. Kara Zor-El will also be introduced in the DC Universe, as Milly Alcock will star as the titular heroine in the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow movie.
While they may not have announced characters like Aquaman and The Flash for the time being, so long as the DCU’s initial releases prove successful, it seems most likely these figures will also appear going forward. The bigger question is when the DCU will actually try to do a Justice League movie, as it wouldn’t be shocking if that doesn’t happen until Chapter 2 rather than at the end of Chapter 1, “Gods and Monsters”. But for now, the world can look forward to seeing many of these Justice League characters on TV and in film over the next few years.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League
Director Zack Snyder’s initial vision for Justice League follows Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), the Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) as they battle to prevent the forces of New God Steppenwolf from conquering Earth. The Snyder cut of the film differs significantly from the theatrically released original, including numerous additional story elements and sequences that were later cut from the film.
