David Corenswet’s New Superman Comes To Life In Exciting DCU Reboot Art

New Superman: Legacy fan art brings David Corenswet’s titular DC Universe hero to life in James Gunn’s upcoming reboot. Once Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom arrive in theaters this month, it will mark the proper end for the DCEU timeline, which began all the way back in 2013. However, as the DCEU finishes its run, a new DC Universe will be taking its place, with Gunn and Peter Safran running DC Studios, which will set up fresh DC continuity across TV and film.

The first DC Universe movie that will set the foundation is Gunn’s Superman: Legacy, which has been busy filling out the cast since the SAG-AFTRA strike ended. As the world waits patiently to learn more about the reboot, @nunosarnadas shared two new Superman: Legacy art pieces with Corenswet as the Man of Steel. The first Superman: Legacy fan art by @nunosarnadas serves as a “concept poster,” showing Corenswet in a traditional-looking Superman costume.

The second Superman: Legacy fan artwork by @nunosarnadas is designed as a “concept theatrical poster,” with Corenswet’s Superman carrying the Daily Planet globe, which is one of the more iconic images from the DC hero’s legacy in comics and media.

What’s Next For Superman: Legacy?

One of the key casting reports that recently emerged was Nicholas Hoult being eyed to play Lex Luthor in Superman: Legacy. So far, he is the only casting addition whose deal is not locked in yet, as Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Studios have yet to comment on the British star boarding Superman: Legacy. Whether he signs on or not, it definitely appears that Superman: Legacy will feature Lex in some capacity, even if it doesn’t end up being Hoult.

With Superman: Legacy still in the pre-production stages, there are likely a few other characters left to cast. Rumors have been floating around that multiple members of The Authority will be showing up in Superman: Legacy, with María Gabriela De Faría confirmed to play Angela Spica, a.k.a. The Engineer. Daily Planet boss Perry White is also reportedly set to be part of the Superman: Legacy cast.

Once they actually start filming, time will tell what else may be revealed about Superman: Legacy through various set photos and videos that may be taken when they are on location. It wouldn’t be shocking if more news for Superman: Legacy gets revealed before 2023 closes out. From everything that has already been revealed about Superman: Legacy to this point, it will be exciting to see what else Gunn has in store with the DC Universe’s first proper movie.
