The Buu Saga of Dragon Ball is one of the longest, with the villainous Buu going through a number of increasingly powerful forms before finally being defeated. However, the Super Dragon Ball Heroes manga revealed a new form of Buu that fans didn’t get to see, one which wields a terrifying amount of power thanks to Dabura and the 3-Star Dark Dragon Ball.
In Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Dark Demon Realm Mission, the Dark Dagon Balls are scattered across time accidentally by the villains, and they seek out powerful figures to fuse with in alternate timelines. Future Trunks and other versions of Dragon Ball Z characters from outside the main timeline are brought in to help solve the problem by the Supreme Kai of Time, who forms a unit known as the Time Patrollers.
These Time Patrollers are sent to the past to set it back on course, and in order to retrieve the 3-Star Dark Dragon Ball, first introduced in Dragon Ball GT, they’ll have to defeat an alternate version of Majin Buu to do it.
Dark Demon God Buu Wields Incredible Power
In chapter 5 of Dark Demon Realm Mission, the evil Dabura appears as well, having gained new power to become Demon God Dabura, and he’s here to retrieve the Dark Dragon Ball for his own reasons–and maybe get a little vengeance on Buu. He strikes at Buu with his Darkness Sword, and believing he’s defeated, turns his attention to Xeno Goku. However, Buu isn’t quite done yet, and absorbs Dabura, gaining his power in addition to the power he already had from the Dark Dragon Ball, creating the being known as Dark Demon God Buu.
Dark Demon God Buu has dark markings on his face and the Dark Dragon Ball embedded in his chest. He wields Dabura’s Darkness Sword, going into combat against Xeno Future Trunks, blade against blade. Seeing him in trouble, Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta end up fusing into Xeno Vegito, using Potara earrings from the Supreme Kai of Time. While the original Vegito was able to gain the upper hand on Super Buu, Dark Demon God Buu is able to go toe-to-toe with the fusion for a surprisingly long time, until a mysterious figure intervenes and allows Buu to escape.
This Buu actually gets even stronger, absorbing Xeno Janemba and the 5-Star Dark Dragon Ball, and is finally defeated much later by the villains in order to reclaim those Dark Dragon Balls. Given that Buu was already on par with Vegito before absorbing this additional power, it may well have been near-impossible for Vegito to defeat the empowered version, which would’ve left the heroes in quite a situation. This Dark Demon God Buu is undoubtedly the strongest form that the Majin has ever taken on, and Dragon Ball‘s main timeline is fortunate that they never had to face this terror.
