Warning! Spoilers for Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths by DC Comics

DC Comics has just revealed a secret sequel to Crisis on Infinite Earths as the current Dark Crisis limited event series has been surprisingly renamed to Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths. At San Diego Comic-Con, DC revealed the follow-up to Marv Wolfman and George Perez’s groundbreaking event, as the Dark Crisis comic book, three issues of seven published thus far, is now a direct sequel to the 1985 event.

Crisis on Infinite Earths is one of the most iconic crossovers in comic book history. The George Perez and Marv Wolfman 12-issue series popularized the crossover genre while rebooting the DC Comics universe in one of the most ambitious and wide-ranging stories told by the publisher. Since the event, numerous Crisis stories have been told, including Final Crisis, Infinite Crisis, and Dark Crisis. Now, DC is revealing that the current event is a secret sequel to Crisis on Infinite Earths.

At San Diego Comic-Con, DC Comics revealed that Dark Crisis is a secret sequel to Crisis on Infinite Earths, as the comic will be retitled as Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths starting with issue four. The previous issues will be reprinted with the new title.
