Daredevil Season 4 Comes to Disney+ in Marvel Fan Poster

A Daredevil fan-poster imagines season 4 is coming to Disney+. It’s been a couple of years since the Marvel series ended, alongside with the rest of the comic book brand’s line-up for Netflix, but fans continue to hope that it will somehow continue. With Disney launching their own streaming platform, those pushing for the idea are suggesting that the service becomes the new home of  Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock.

The first project out of the Marvel and Netflix partnership, Daredevil ran for a total of three seasons. While the first two ones were solid offerings, its final one was regarded as one of the best comic book projects on the small screen. It mined inspiration from the iconic Born Again and Guardian Devil print runs and pit a resurrected Matt Murdock against Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) for the last time. While Daredevil season 3 finale functions well as a series cap-off, fans understandably want more considering the quality of its final year.

In light of this petition, digital artist erathrim20 imagines what it would be like if Marvel Studios continues Matt’s adventures via a fourth season of Daredevil coming to Disney+. Fans are on board with the idea as seen in the comments section, some of them saying that the poster makes them want to see the idea come to fruition more. Check it out below:

While the Save Daredevil movement hasn’t been that active in the last few months, the petition is still ongoing with D’Onofrio and Cox throwing their support for it. Unfortunately, there’s no clear indication that Disney or Marvel Studios is even paying attention. The MCU has a stacked slate running at least until 2021, with a string of small screen projects for Disney+ which significantly adds to their annual workload. It’s also worth noting that after the acquisition of  Fox’s TV and movie assets, Marvel Studios regained access to the mutants, Fantastic Four, and their tie-in players, so there’s no scarcity of characters they can bring to the MCU in the foreseeable future. At this point, there’s no rush to tackle the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen again, let alone pick up where Netflix’s Daredevil left off from their point-of-view.

That doesn’t mean, however, that the possibility of this happening is zero. Over the last couple of years, the Release the Snyder Cut movement and rehire James Gunn campaign both forced Warner Bros. and Disney to reconsider their initial decisions. According to their deal with Netflix, Marvel has to wait two years after the ending of each show before using the characters again, which is not long from now. This will make it more possible for a Daredevil season 4 to happen.
