Set in a mythologized Ancient Greece, Krapopolis follows a flawed family of humans, gods, and monsters. They are trying to run one of the world’s first cities without killing each other. The city is run by a young human king, Tyrannis (Richard Ayoade), though he’s helped by his strange clan of creatures and deities. The series, which debuted on September 24, features comedic takes on the likes of Hermes and Athena.

In the debut episode, the young king Tyrannis is overseeing his city when he’s confronted by a horde of cannibals living nearby. Meanwhile, there’s also the introduction of the young king’s parents. Tyrannis’ mother, Deliria (Hannah Waddingham) is obsessed with people building a temple for her. The episode also brings in Athena (Amber Stevens West), who shows up for a fight with Deliria.

The series benefits from a strong roster of guest voices. Along with Ayodade and Waddingham as regulars, the voice cast includes the likes of Community alums Yvette Nicole Brown and Joel McHale, Ben Stiller, Susan Sarandon, Dave Franco, Will Forte, Jane Lynch, Daveed Diggs, Steve Buscemi, Stephanie Beatriz, David Cross, Keith David, and more. With its availability for free, the dysfunctional family comedy could pick up a few more devotees as Krapopolis season 2 and season 3 have already been ordered.
