Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 10 Trailer Reveals Jon Hamm Guest Role

Larry David is back in the full trailer for Curb Your Enthusiasm season 10, and this time Jon Hamm is caught up in the hilarious mayhem. Coming off the massive success of Seinfeld, which he co-created along with Jerry Seinfeld, David launched into a new sitcom venture in 2000 with Curb Your Enthusiasm, in which he played a somewhat exaggerated version of himself.

Thanks to his super-crusty, ever-critical and totally hapless on-screen persona in Curb, David quickly established himself as a star comedy actor as well as a writer. Of course, equally important to the success of Curb was the show’s gallery of supporting characters, which included actors like Richard Lewis, Wanda Sykes and Ted Danson playing themselves, along with a crew of fictional characters played by an ensemble including Jeff Garlin, J.B. Smoove, Cheryl Hines, Susie Essman and of course Bob Einstein. Many stars have also dropped by the show in memorable guest spots over the years, including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ricky Gervais, Michael J. Fox, Salman Rushdie, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Banks and even the cast of Seinfeld.

With Curb now set to enter its tenth season, HBO has released a new trailer previewing what David and company are up to now. Not surprisingly, David is still very grouchy and full of complaints about small meaningless things. And he’s also still getting into it with mail carriers. A few interesting new players are also along for the ride in season 10, as revealed in the clip which can be seen below:

Very possibly the highlight of the entire new trailer, not counting David’s rant about sweatpants, is the appearance of Mad Men star Hamm who is playing himself in season 10. In the scene featuring Hamm, David is being thrown out of a party – which is nothing new for the often-irritating fellow – but Hamm somehow has also made everyone mad enough to be ejected himself. Given Hamm’s reputation as a nice guy, it’s hard to imagine what he could do to anger his fellow partygoers, but no doubt the scenario involves David doing something awful that Hamm gets tangled up in.

Along with Hamm, the clip also includes appearances by Fred Armisen, Isla Fisher (whose husband Sacha Baron Cohen previously guested on the show), Laverne Cox, Jane Krakowski and Kaitlin Olson. Of course, most of the show’s regular characters are also back, with the sad exception of the late Einstein’s Marty Funkhouser.

Overall, the trailer promises that season 10 will keep up the formula established by David and company two decades ago, with David now a little older and perhaps even more annoying than ever. Curb Your Enthusiasm returns to HBO on January 19, 2020.
