Crunchyroll’s New Manhwa Series Could Be The Next Solo Leveling

Solo Leveling‘s success has indeed marked the dawn of a new era for manhwa, as Crunchyroll has announced the anime adaptation of yet another popular manhwa series, which could potentially reach the same heights. From the same creator as Lookism, Viral Hit is set to air on Crunchyroll as part of its Spring 2024 anime lineup and has finally received an exciting new trailer.

Based on the manhwa of the same name by Park Tae-jun, Crunchyroll recently released a stunning trailer for Viral Hit which is set to release on April 10, 2024. The anime will be produced by Studio Okuruto Noboru, whose most well-known works include How Not To Summon a Demon Lord and Tomodachi Game, and will be directed by Masakazu Hishida who has most notably directed Yasahime, the sequel series to Inuyasha. As of present, no information has been revealed about how many episodes Viral Hit is set to receive.

Much like Taejun Park’s other popular series, Lookism, which was adapted into an anime series by Netflix in 2022, Viral Hit also focuses heavily on themes of bullying and overcoming the difficulties of school life. However, as seen in the trailer, Viral Hit incorporates the fun concept of streaming and social media as Hobin’s fight against his bullies goes viral when secretly streamed online.
