Crash Bandicoot 4 Promises As Many Levels As N. Sane Trilogy Combined

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will feature as many levels as the three original titles featured in the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy – combined. The next adventure for the simple-minded marsupial has garnered excitement across fans for is long-awaited continuation of the series’s classic platforming action.

The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was wildly successful on release, lauded for its return to the Crash Bandicoot platforming gameplay that fans of the series fell in love with from the start. After the series drifted away from its original identity for over a decade, seeing the PS1 classics given new life was the nostalgia trip that fans had been clamoring for years. After being previously revealed through leaks, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will continue with that same classic style of gameplay, which they’ll use to navigate unique locales with new masks to help overcome certain obstacles.

A tweet from user BroskiBae showcases a screenshot from a GameStop promotional email, with the blurb stating that the game will feature over 100 levels, which could total up to (if not surpass) the number of levels in the N. Sane Trilogy. The graphic also promises abilities and modes, the former of which were showcased in the game’s reveal, while at least one of the new modes is known through a PSN Store listing implying the presence of local multiplayer. It’s also possible that one of these new modes could be referring to being able to play as Dr. Neo Cortex in certain levels, but that’s the extent of the known information on these new modes. Other screenshots from the email included disturbing looking Funko Pop figures of Crash and Tiny Tiger, as well as a GameStop pre-order bonus of a “Minute Glass Timer.”

The Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy features a plethora of content across the remasters of all three PS1 classics. Whether it’s precise platforming in the first Crash Original or being able to traverse different locales and times in Crash Bandicoot 2 and 3, the trilogy already provided a great amount of variety for players to enjoy, with a grand total of 103 levels to “crash” through. The trilogy also had a playable Coco Bandicoot just like Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will, as well as a number of vehicles to use across the games, such as a jetpack or a jet ski.

With the wealth of content in Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy, to know that a long-awaited numbered sequel will have the same amount of content, if not more, is absolutely N. Sane. As already showcased in the trailer, the new abilities and playable characters seem to promise to offer every ounce of colorful creativity in Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time that made the original trilogy so beloved.
