The first trailer for Bachelor in Paradise season 9 includes footage from a wedding, and now Reality Steve has revealed that the couple who tied the knot in Mexico is Mari Pepin and Kenny Braasch. At the end of the preview, host Jesse Palmer teases that a couple decided to get married in Paradise, as he pronounces them husband and wife in the wedding footage. The couple is seen placing wedding rings on each other’s fingers, as the Bachelor in Paradise season 9 cast smiles
Reality Steve has now revealed that the couple who got married on Bachelor in Paradise season 9 was Mari and Kenny, who got engaged during the finale of Bachelor in Paradise season 7. Reality Steve said that he heard in June that they’d gone to Mexico, but he assumed that they were there to hand out a date card. However, they actually got married. Reality Steve explained that this wedding was probably a favor to production, since their real wedding will be in November in Puerto Rico, where Mari is originally from. They will then have another wedding in Chicago, Kenny’s hometown, in early 2024.
Mari Pepin & Kenny Braasch’s Relationship Timeline
Mari and Kenny had an immediate connection when they met during Bachelor in Paradise season 7 in 2021. They got engaged on the show, and now live together in Chicago. Throughout the past two years, they’ve updated their fans about their relationship through their social media accounts. They’ve also shared their wedding planning with Wedding Wednesday videos, in which they give tips about planning from their own experiences and their fans’ ideas.
Mari and Kenny are one of the most beloved Bachelor Nation couples from the most successful Bachelor in Paradise season. Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt, who also got engaged on the season finale, got married in October 2022 in New York City. In addition, Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs got engaged after the show and are expecting a baby boy in September. In August 2023, Noah Erb proposed to Abigail Heringer. Also, Pieper James and Brendan Morais are still going strong as a couple, along with Alana Milne and Chris Conran.
It’s beautiful that Mari and Kenny got married where their relationship began two years ago on the beaches of Mexico. At the time, Kenny revealed that he would’ve married Mari on their season finale if their families could be there. They’re wished all the happiness in the world as they begin this new chapter of their lives as a married couple. Their wedding will be the highlight of Bachelor in Paradise season 9.
