Plenty of comic book movies are being promoted at the San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, but one of the biggest draws of this year’s convention is undoubtedly The Wolverine. The movie, which will play a role in Fox’s ambitious attempts to bridge the X-Men series together with X-Men: Days of Future Past, follows Logan’s travels in Japan and his clashes with important enemies from his past.
One of the baddies that Wolverine faces off against in the new film is Kenuichio Harada, better known as the Silver Samurai. Gifted with the ability to charge any object with tachyon energy, the Silver Samurai is one of Logan’s most notorious enemies and can cut through just about anything with his samurai sword (except for Adamantium, of course).
Traditionally, the Silver Samurai wore a suit based on traditional samurai armor. For The Wolverine, the outfit has gotten a bit of an upgrade. To give fans a look at the costume, Fox put the armor on display at Comic-Con. We snapped a few pictures, which you can check out below:

As can be seen in the trailers, and even more clearly in our pictures above, the Silver Samurai armor in The Wolverine owes much more to Iron Man than the traditional comic book version of the character. The suit, which was built by the Stan Winston School and Legacy Effects, makes for an imposing figure and something that could certainly give Logan a run for his money. That being said, it does look a little bit like a feudal Japanese version of RoboCop.
