Cobra Kai Season 6 Has TWO Big Dojo Problems

Cobra Kai Season 6 Has TWO Big Dojo Problems

Going into Cobra Kai season 6, Johnny Lawrence has two dojo problems he must confront. The series started with him reopening the titular dojo of his childhood, but a lot has changed since then. Cobra Kai has switched hands several times, becoming the center of significant battles and rivalries. However, now that Terry Silver has been dealt with (hopefully for good), Johnny will have to figure out what to do about Cobra Kai and Eagle Fang—and Daniel LaRusso might even be able to lend a hand.

Johnny didn’t initially set out to revolutionize the Cobra Kai dojo, but as he began to develop as a person, the school changed around him. Still, individuals like John Kreese and Terry Silver made this difficult, since they each essentially hijacked the school and returned it to its old honorless and brutal ways. Thankfully, Silver’s true nature has been exposed to the world, and he was sent to prison. Though Kreese made a daring escape in Cobra Kai season 5, his status as a convict should make involvement at the dojo difficult. Still, the way for Johnny to get Cobra Kai back may not be easy.

The Cobra Kai Dojo Still Belongs To Terry Silver In Season 6

Cobra Kai Season 6 Has TWO Big Dojo Problems

Before his arrest in Cobra Kai season 5, Terry Silver used his immense wealth to elevate the Cobra Kai dojo to more than it had ever been. This could be a good thing for Johnny if he decided to take the school back. The problem with Cobra Kai season 6 is that Silver is still the legal owner. Just because he will be in prison doesn’t mean he had all his assets removed. In fact, it’s still possible for Silver to run his business from behind bars, which would put Johnny in an uncomfortable position if he decided he wanted to get back involved.

Additionally, the fact that Silver was revealed to have cheated at the All-Valley Tournament may result in the Cobra Kai dojo being banned from karate competitions, even if Silver himself was no longer involved. The dojo has been at the center of many controversies over the years, and Daniel LaRusso even once petitioned to have the school thrown out of the All-Valley tournament for good. Now that Silver has tarnished the name forever—and is still the school’s legal owner—it might not even be worth Johnny’s time and effort.

Johnny Lawrence Now Runs Eagle Fang (But With No Real Dojo)

Johnny’s dojo situation is even more complicated in Cobra Kai season 6 because after his original school had been taken away from him, he started a new one called Eagle Fang. Ultimately, the unconventional dojo has done pretty well for itself, since the students managed to keep up with Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do with no issue. However, there is still a problem in that Johnny still doesn’t have an official location to call his own as of the end of Cobra Kai season 5.

With Eagle Fang still on slightly shaky legs with no real place to call home, it may make sense for Johnny to focus on getting his old dojo back instead. However, given the pain and trauma Johnny has gone through with John Kreese’s karate school between Karate Kid and Cobra Kai, he may decide it’s time to move on. He started Eagle Fang from the ground up, and though it has yet to make its roots, it has been a far more positive experience for Johnny.

Johnny & Daniel Can Combine Their Dojos In Cobra Kai Season 6

Though it might be a healthy choice for Johnny to leave his old dojo in his past, the show’s name is Cobra Kai, so it’s hard to imagine that the school won’t have an essential part in the story’s conclusion. Things have been complicated between all the karate businesses in the Valley, so audiences will be looking for a harmonious ending for everyone involved. The obvious answer is joining the major dojos into a collective school—though “Miyagi Cobra Fang-Do” doesn’t have quite the same ring.

Johnny and Daniel have buried the hatchet, so working together to raise the next karate champions might be a great way to conclude their rivalry in Cobra Kai season 6. Of course, just because they have come to a mutual understanding and no longer hate one another doesn’t mean they will work together well as co-teachers. In fact, they have already proven that their contradictory teaching methods could create a problem. Instead, it seems more likely that no matter where the two champions settle, they will keep separate but cooperative dojos. However, only Cobra Kai season 6 can answer this for sure.
