Big Brother 25 houseguest Cirie Fields was evicted from the game on day 93, and she now reveals that she thinks her relationship with Felicia Cannon led to her downfall in the game. Cirie, a Survivor legend who also won The Traitors season 1, played an incredible strategic and social game during Big Brother 25. This included keeping the secret that her fellow contestant, Jared Fields, was also her son. Izzy Gleicher and Blue Kim were the only ones who knew that they were related, but they kept their secret. Although Cirie didn’t win any competitions during her Big Brother stint, she definitely had a huge impact on the game.
In an interview with Parade, Cirie admitted that her friendship with Felicia was her “downfall” in the game. She said, “Felicia and I were like The Odd Couple … because Felicia knew everything. And regardless of what experience I had, or what information I had from those experiences actually living them, Felicia still knew more about it than I did.” Cirie explained that she felt as though Felicia “was constantly undermining me, constantly stabbing me in the back. And even with all of that, I still was a good friend to Felicia. And that’s kind of my downfall. Once we connect, I try to maintain that relationship, even sometimes to my detriment.”
Cirie Reveals Huge Downside To Playing Big Brother 25 With Son Jared
Cirie played Big Brother 25 with her son, Jared, for 58 days. She acknowledged that the pro of playing with family is having “that comfort from home. There’s a level of realness that cannot be bought in these games with strangers.” However, Cirie confessed that there were cons to having her son in the house as well, including having to work around his game and seeing other contestants speaking badly about him. Cirie added, “When it’s your family member, whether it benefits you or not, you try to do what’s best for their game, which could be harmful to your game.”
Cirie and Jared spent 58 days protecting each other in the Big Brother 25 house. It’s arguable that part of the reason that Jared broke down crying when he was evicted was because he was both worried about leaving Cirie behind and relieved that the heavy burden of trying to keep her in the game was finally lifted. Although some fans thought Cirie and Jared playing together gave them an unfair advantage, the reality is that hiding their secret and keeping each other safe took a toll on both of them. In some ways, it made the game harder for them.
Cirie and Felicia had a complicated relationship, but, ultimately, they were good friends. Back-stabbing is a major part of Big Brother, and they both understood that it comes with the territory. Even through their arguments, they tried to protect each other because they were often the underdogs in the house. It’s impressive that Cirie and Felicia, the two oldest players in the house, made it to the Final 5. It proves that Big Brother isn’t just about winning competitions, but also having a strong strategic and social game. Cirie brought her magic to Big Brother 25, and should be proud of what she achieved on her third reality competition show.
