In its opening weekend, Challengers topped the box office and managed to break a record for Zendaya, the lead actor for Challengers. This is officially the largest opening for a live-action non-IP movie in Zendaya’s career. It defeated The Greatest Showman for the honor, which earned $8.8 million with its Christmas release. Challengers has already earned $15 million, destroying the previous record.
