The creators of Chainsaw Man and Dandadan, two of Shōnen Jump‘s biggest manga, have recommended Tsutomu Nihei’s newest series, Tower Dungeon. The legendary artist behind Blame!, who also authored the acclaimed manga Wolverine: Snikt!, has built up a reputation for making hits, and his latest work has already caught the eye of the industry’s best.

Tatsuki Fujimoto, the brilliant author of Fire Punch, Look Back, and Chainsaw Man, took to Twitter/X to share his opinions on Nihei’s new fantasy series, and he recommended it to his huge 700K audience.

Yukinobu Tatsu was similarly excited about Tower Dungeon, and both creators described the series as a fun read and recommended this hidden gem.

The posts went viral, and he surely helped put the up-and-coming manga on the map. The series only has 5 chapters, so it is great that it is receiving increased momentum from two of the most popular mangaka currently.

Tower Dungeon is yet another fantasy series from the influential creator of Blame! and Knights Of Sidonia, a perfect plot to flex his specialty of drawing intricate landscapes and buildings. An evil sorcerer murders the king and kidnaps his daughter, Princess Ignelia, and retreats to the top of a mysterious tower that contains an intricate dungeon. A rescue squad is promptly formed, and one of the conscripted is Yuva, a farmer who has ridiculous strength.

This series is already a must-read, given how beautiful the art is, and Tsutomu Nihei is often regarded as one of the best artists in the manga industry. The plot is already pretty interesting, and the fantasy setting combined with the action premise could see Nihei making even more fights and choreography than ever before. With the beginning chapters already making such big waves, it will be interesting to see how far Tsutomu Nihei’s Tower Dungeon goes.
