Tamar Braxton won Celebrity Big Brother season 2 by a unanimous vote, and she has now taken to social media to throw shade at season 3 houseguest Miesha Tate. Back in 2019, Tamar won Celebrity Big Brother 2 and became the first-ever Black player to win any US edition of Big Brother. In 2021, the Cookout alliance was formed by six Black contestants on BB23 and Xavier Prather went on to become the first Black winner of a regular season of the series.
Since winning CBB2 unanimously and cashing in the show’s $250,000 grand prize, Tamar has been busy at work in other reality TV ventures. Of note, Tamar’s most memorable moments include launching and co-hosting To Catch A Beautician on VH1 and appearing as a guest judge on the hit HBO Max series Legendary. She also released a docuseries on WeTV titled Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life!. For dedicated Big Brother fans, though, Tamar will always be remembered as the unanimous winner of CBB2.
Tamar has always been an outspoken media personality, so it’s not surprising that she is providing a bit of commentary on the newly-released Celebrity Big Brother season 3. As seen in the tweet below, Tamar wrote, “Sis GOTTA GO!!!” alongside a picture of Miesha Tate in the Diary Room of CBB3. For context, this tweet was shared as the grand premiere of Celebrity Big Brother 3 was airing on CBS, so Tamar was quite literally live-tweeting the show as the episode went along. But at first glance, it isn’t clear at all what this supposed beef between Tamar and Miesha might be coming from.
On one side, Miesha “Cupcake” is a famous UFC athlete with a successful career as a mixed martial arts fighter. In turn, Tamar is a singer and reality TV personality who is related to R&B legend Toni Braxton. Generally, Miesha and Tamar haven’t been featured in similar projects, nor have they crossed paths in the public eye. As such, this could just be a hot take from Tamar not liking what she’s seen so far from Miesha on Celebrity Big Brother. Miesha won the first Head of Household competition of the season, for instance, so Tamar could be concerned about who Miesha’s targets for week one will be.
Given that only one episode of Celebrity Big Brother season 3 has aired so far, Tamar’s tweet seems to indicate that there had been some other bad blood between from the past. As previously noted, though, this could very well just be a hot take from Tamar as she watches the show and live-tweets her thoughts. As the unanimous winner of CBB2, Tamar’s words will always hold weight for Big Brother fans.
