CBB: Carson Kressley Reacts To Winning America’s Favorite Houseguest

Celebrity Big Brother contestant Carson Kressley reacted to winning America’s Favorite Houseguest and revealed which charity he will donate to. Carson, a 52-year-old television personality, actor, and designer, stole the show with his hilarious personality and sweet demeanor. He was a fierce competitor, winning one Head of Household and one Power of Veto competition. His fellow houseguests saw him as a threat because he was so loved by everyone in the house, and they plotted to evict him almost immediately, but he was able to last 24 days in the game. With his funny commentary in the diary room and his genuinely kind disposition, Carson won the hearts of viewers who saw him as the main source of entertainment on the show.

On the season finale, Miesha Tate won the game, but Carson received the coveted America’s Favorite Houseguest prize. This fan-voted award goes to the houseguest who America feels is most deserving based on their likability, gameplay, and competitive spirit. It is a $25,000 prize. Previous Celebrity Big Brother winners of this award include Ross Mathews from season 1 and Tom Green from season 2.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Carson reacted to winning the award, sharing that he was “thrilled and surprised.” He said that he was “so bad about knowing how the show works” that he had kind of forgotten that there even was an award. Carson also did not understand how the voting worked because he thought that after he was evicted he could not win it. When people told him that they were going to vote for him, he thought that they meant they wanted to vote to keep him on the show, and he was very confused. Carson said that he is “delighted. It was very fun and I’m very grateful that people recognized me as being fun to watch.”

Carson said that he was happy that he could give some of the money to charity and “do some good from this wacky experience.” He will be donating to True Colors United, a charity that was founded about 20 years ago by Cyndi Lauper, who is one of Carson’s friends. Carson explained that when she started the charity, she invited him to be on the board, and he has been working with them for the last 20 years. Carson said, “We work to eliminate youth homelessness, especially amongst LGBTQ+ youth who are unfortunately more at risk to experience homelessness.” He said that it has been very rewarding and that the charity has members on their staff who were homeless and now are working for the organization. Carson concluded by saying, “And we know that this is a totally fixable problem, and we work tirelessly to find a solution.”

Carson won the fan-voted prize and proved that he was deserving of it because of how he plans to use the money to help others. Although he may not have won Celebrity Big Brother 3, he gained friends and fans through the experience. Carson was loved by his fellow contestants, and he was truly America’s Favorite Houseguest.
