Call Of Duty: Warzone Mobile Gets Release Date (& You’re Going To Want To Sign Up ASAP)

A release date for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile has finally been revealed, and anyone eager to hop into the battle royale on the go should sign up to play before it even launches. Warzone has been a phenomenon since its original incarnation launched in 2019 after the Modern Warfare reboot trilogy began, and it’ll now be even more widely available as it arrives on mobile devices. Active players may want to pre-register for Warzone Mobile, as doing so will incur free cosmetic rewards.

According to an official Call of Duty blog post, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will be released worldwide on March 21, 2024. This full launch comes after numerous Limted Release periods, in which the game was essentially beta tested.

According to the blog, any player who pre-registers on the Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile website will receive five in-game rewards: the Ghost “Condemned” Operator Skin, the M4 “Archfiend” Weapon Blueprint, the X12 “Prince of Hell” Weapon Blueprint, the “Foes Flame” Vinyl, and a “Dark Familiar” Emblem.

With Call of Duty: Mobile‘s success, the previously confirmed Warzone Mobile is something of a longtime coming. Warzone has been a major player in the continually popular battle royale genre since its release in 2019, and Warzone Mobile is attempting to broaden its already wide audience. Key to this is cross-progression with Warzone and Modern Warfare 3, which allows weapon levels and XP to be shared across the three titles. Similarly, the BlackCell battle pass, battle pass progression, and certain cosmetic bundles are transferable, indicated in-game by a special “Connected” tag.

AMC’s Clayton Neuman and Call of Duty’s Jon Riva discuss bringing two of The Walking Dead’s most iconic characters into the video game franchise.

At launch, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will feature two maps: Verdansk and Rebirth Island. Verdansk supports Warzone‘s traditional Battle Royale game mode, supporting up to 120 players in a single game. Rebirth Island will bring the Resurgence game mode to Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, where 48 total players battle on a smaller map, where respawns are available as long as one squad member remains alive.

Pre-registering for Warzone Mobile is possible now, though it’s unclear if the rewards from doing so, which will be distributed upon the game’s March 21 launch, are transferable to Warzone and Modern Warfare 3. Regardless, they’re a nice incentive for current Warzone players, and the mobile launch is an exciting prospect for players hoping to eek out a few more games in their downtime, with the added bonus of battle pass progress. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is launching in just a few weeks’ time, and is certain to make the wildly popular battle royale even more so.
