Call of Duty Warzone: How to Quickly Earn XP & Level Up

Call of Duty Warzone: How to Quickly Earn XP & Level Up

The second incarnation of a Call of Duty battle royale entry, Call of Duty Warzone provides one of the best battle royale experiences available. Combining the fluid gameplay of the recently released Call of Duty Modern Warfare with the intense mechanics found in a battle royale title makes Warzone one of the most competitive games on the modern market. With an emphasis on blending both realistic shooter mechanics and the arcade feeling of Call of Duty games in the past, Warzone does so masterfully. Releasing relatively recently, it is no surprise that the latest entry to the legacy franchise is taking the battle royale genre by storm with its impressive graphics and gameplay.

Given its placement within the battle royale genre, it is no surprise that Warzone has some apparent time-consuming mechanics ingrained in its system. As is common with most titles filling the battle royale genre, experience points, battle passes, skins, guns, and other consumables are meant to bring players back to the title time in and time out. This is how battle royale has emerged as one of the top genres in the current video-game industry, for it blends addicting gameplay with equally addicting grinding for rewards. So the question arises, what is the fastest way to earn XP and rank up in Warzone? This guide will provide a few methods to increase XP and reap the rewards for doing so.

Making Use of Missions and Challenges in Call of Duty Warzone

These commonly overlooked mechanics are a key element to grinding within Warzone. Both Daily challenges and missions provide relatively easy tasks to complete to reap rewards and level up quickly.

Performing these daily challenges is as simple as reading a few lines of text, going to a given game mode and then performing the given action and gain a sizeable amount of XP. Of course, some challenges may be more difficult than others, but for a daily task, they provide a decent amount of reward for the effort.

Missions, however, are restricted to a particular game type. So it is important that players select a given Warzone mission and then play a match of Warzone and try and complete the mission. These missions tend to be more difficult than daily challenges, and only one can be assigned at a time, but the rewards they offer are pretty sizeable and should be adopted into any player’s routine.

Playing the Plunder Game Type in Call of Duty Warzone

Although the Warzone game type provides a better reward for a successful victory the Plunder mode provides more XP for a shorter time commitment.

Playing through the Plunder game type provides players with more opportunity to both kill opponents and to gain money which can be cashed out for guns and other items. Although the reward is smaller than a successful win in Warzone, it still provides a better reward for its smaller time commitment.

Using the Plunder game-type effectively is a solid way to both rank up and get a surplus of XP within Call of Duty Warzone.

Call of Duty Warzone is available on PS4 and Xbox One.
