The beginning of the end for X-Men ’97 season 1 starts in a new clip for episode 8 with the Summers family in a Marvel showdown. As X-Men: The Animated Series made its return in 2024 in the form of the X-Men ’97 show, the iconic Marvel animated adventure has had its world turned upside down. Following the attack on Genosha, the war against the true villain is getting ready to take place in the final episodes of the season.

However, with three parts, it may not be until X-Men ’97 episode 9 that they will all finally come face-to-face.

The newly-introduced “OZT” organization is bound to take a bigger spotlight, and how they will factor into the final installments of the season remains an intriguing question. The bigger question, however, is whether or not X-Men ’97 episode 8 will conclude in any way with Professor X revealing to his former students that he is actually alive. Another crucial element for X-Men ’97 episode 8 to explore is what is going on with Magneto, as he was revealed to also have survived what seemed to be a fatal experience.

Given how X-Men ’97 season 2 is already confirmed, it will certainly be intriguing to witness how these final episodes will lay the groundwork for the show’s return, whether that is later this year or in 2025.
