Brother Vs. Brother: Jonathan Scott Posts Halloween Costume Throwbacks

Jonathan Scott from HGTV’s Brother Vs. Brother posted Halloween costume throwback pics of him with his brothers. The post came just one day in advance of Halloween, and foreshadows what will hopefully be an imaginative and fun-filled holiday for the Scotts.

Jonathan and Drew Scott have periodically teased each other on their shows and online with embarrassing snapshots from the past. Jonathan’s recent post is certainly no exception. It included four photos from the family album in which he and his twin brother were dressed as a bellhop and a miniature Pee Wee Herman attached to a clown – likely a nod from the film Pee Wee Big Adventure. The next image was from their childhood where he and brothers Drew and J.D. were dressed as a pirate, Dracula, and a cowboy. The third image showcased the twins as Woody from Toy Story and a gladiator. The final ode to Halloween displayed the twins, when they were children, dressed as a strong man and robot, respectively.

Jonathan captioned the post: “Halloween’s easily one of my favorite days of the year. Loved going through some old costume pics for this #FBF…good memories. Which one’s your fave?” The post received hundreds of likes, and got avid Brother Vs. Brother fans excited about what the Scotts have up their sleeves this Halloween. Knowing them, it should be epic.

This time last year, Jonathan and his brother Drew had just completed taping an episode of Carpool Karaoke. It was during the segment that Jonathan met his current lady love, actress Zooey Deschanel. One of their first outings after going public with their romance was a double date with Drew and his wife Linda Phan. The foursome enjoyed a haunted house complete with chainsaw-wielding zombies, and documented it with a series of hilarious photos, much like the ones Jonathan posted Thursday. However, Jonathan and Drew are also prone to dressing up for kicks on their hit show. On season 7 of Brother Vs. Brother, Jonathan taunted Drew with old photos of his most embarrassing moments as punishment for losing a challenge – including all the times he dressed up in something silly. Drew got his vengeance a few episodes later when he won a custom-made superhero costume after a challenge win. Drew and Jonathan love donning comic book hero garb. Who could forget the time when they both dressed up as Wonder Woman? Halloween may be in their blood, but costumes for the Scotts are a year-round celebration.

Fans love the Property Brothers for their distinctive eye when it comes to design. Now they have something new to cherish in these fun-loving brothers. Jonathan Scott’s walk down memory lane is a wonderful thing to share just before Halloween. There’s no telling whether the brothers will dress up this year, or how they’ll observe the holiday. One thing’s for sure: Even if COVID-19 does put a damper on their festivities, viewers still have enough photographic evidence of their shenanigans to tide them over until next year.
