Bravely Default 2: How to Defeat Anihal (Boss Fight)

Bravely Default 2: How to Defeat Anihal (Boss Fight)

Anihal is another manipulated boss character in Bravely Default 2. This guide will show players how to defeat her in battle. Anihal appears fairly early into the game, appearing as the second boss of chapter 1. This time around, she doesn’t want to hurt the player but acknowledges that she has to do what she can to protect herself. She is also the owner of the Beastmaster Asterisk, which is something players will want during the rest of their journey, especially for some of the later bosses in the game. This guide will show players how they can prepare to defeat Anihal.

For starters, Anihal will not fight you alone as she comes along with a group of mobs to assist her in battle. Make sure to bring Echo Herbs and bring a Healer along for the party. Anihal also counters all physical attacks with a Sandworm attack so avoid bringing one along for this battle. For this battle, your best bet is to bring along two Black Mages and a Healer. For the 4th slot, players can opt-in for a third Black Mage or a second Healer. Regardless, this is the best set-up for taking down Anihal. Here is how players can defeat her.

When the battle begins, focus your attention on bringing down the pixie first. This creature has the ability to heal the entire party so it will not only make the battle longer but much more annoying. After taking that down, focus on the flan beast as it has the ability to debuff your entire party. Once these are gone, players can focus on the snake or another one of her monsters. Regardless, get rid of her teammates as soon as possible. Make sure to keep a close eye on your party’s HP and heal accordingly.

Now that it’s just Anihal, hit her with everything you’ve got. Make sure to use Brave to fill up everyone’s BP and attack her with everything. Continue this process until she is defeated. The player will then be rewarded with the Beastmaster Asterisk. If the player still isn’t feeling strong enough to battle Anihal, they can head out to battle enemies to grind for experience. The battles will only get harder from this point on so staying on top of your team’s stats is essential to making it through the game. Enjoy the rest of your journey through Bravely Default 2.
