Bling Empire: A Look Inside of Anna Shay’s $16M Haunted Mansion

Bling Empire: A Look Inside of Anna Shay’s M Haunted Mansion

The latest reality phenomenon from Netflix is Bling Empire and it’s a treat for so many reasons. Many of the show’s cast of Asian and Asian-American friends living in Los Angeles are mega-rich and going through some pretty interesting personal dramas. Whether the show is scripted or not, the truth is that the real lives behind the show are amazing. From billionaire offspring Kane Lim having 300 pairs of exquisite shoes to Jaime Xie nearly taking her equestrian career all the way to the Olympics, the Bling Empire cast has a lot to offer.

The cast member who may have the most to offer is the wise and wonderful Anna Shay. Her hilarious way with words has led the Internet to crown her Queen of Reality TV, and Bling Empire viewers are cheering about her coronation. She is truly one of a kind. She is the oldest cast member, but unlike Clare from The Bachelorette, Anna’s age is a complete non-issue. Her interests range from shopping to playing concert piano. She has a son who’s got a very unique collection of glass pipes worth half a million dollars. Shay has had four “great marriages and great divorces.” Then, there’s her house. Well, mansion. Rumor has it the $16M behemoth is haunted.

Of course, in pure Anna Shay fashion, Anna, claims the house, “isn’t haunted — it just has spirits.” Despite having three dogs who are alive and well, Anna has lost a whole fountain full of fish and a monkey (somewhat mysteriously). When she told castmate Kim Lee (prior to the penis pump incident) about the deaths, Kim immediately jumped to the conclusion that the house was haunted. Haunted or not, the house has been home to some big names, including Anna. It’s rumored that Shirley Temple lived there in 1936 when she was just eight years of age. In the ’40s and ’50s, alleged Italian mobster Tony Milano called the mansion home.

Located on Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills, the possibly-haunted, Spanish Mediterranean-style mansion was built in 1926 by Welby H. Hudson. Situated on 1.14 acres, it features a four-car garage, swimming pool, paddle tennis court, and separate guest quarters. This is an estate that makes visitors and residents feel like they’ve stepped back in time. It boasts five bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, 8,700 square feet, and all the intricate detail that anyone could want. The foyer opens to a grand staircase with a wrought iron handrail. A tiled mosaic fountain nestles into the staircase’s curve. The home’s wood beams, arched doorways, and painted ceilings feature the kind of craftsmanship that is difficult to find in newer homes.

The best part? It could all be yours! Anna, whose late father owned a weapons company, listed the home for $16M in December 2020. Considering she bought the house in 2011 for $9.3M, Anna is poised to make a tidy profit. Of course, she’s doesn’t really need more money, as her estimated net worth is 600 million. She bought another Beverly Hills mansion in early 2020 for around $5.35M. Bling Empire might be better titled, Real Estate Empire.

Bling Empire is now streaming on Netflix
