With the recent release of Bling Empire’s season 2, fans of the Netflix series flocked to see what crazy shenanigans this wealthy group of friends has been up to since the end of season 1. With a few new faces and changes in relationships, season 2 offered as much juicy drama as the first.
Between millionaires like Anna Shay and Christine Chiu, there was no shortage of privileged quotes that showed just how wealthy this group of friends was. From expensive foods to jewelry shopping, these quotes prove how wealthy the cast of Bling Empire truly is.
Anna Shay
“At The End Of The Day, I Don’t Think I Pick The Jewelry. The Jewelry Picks Me.”
Anna Shay is one of the more likable characters on Bling Empire. As the eldest of the group, Anna is the wise cast member that the younger characters flocked to for advice.
In season 2, Anna was seen shopping for jewelry and working closely with a jeweler for new looks. Considering how much jewelry Anna wore and owned, she said on many occasions that it’s not her that picks the jewelry, it’s the (expensive) jewelry that picks her.
Chèrie Chan
“Round, Five-Karat, Anything Bigger?”
The current relationship status between Chèrie and her fiance Jessey was dissected in season 2 of Bling Empire. In season 1, the two had their second child and were hoping to plan a wedding. Chèrie proposed to Jessey at the end of the season so fans were hoping the two would have gotten married by season 2.
But as fans saw, the two were at a standstill. While jewelry shopping with Anna Shay, Chèrie looked at possible engagement rings for herself. While looking at a ring that was 5-karats, she asked the jeweler if there was a bigger option and fell in love with a diamond ring that was a whopping 10-karats.
Kyle Chan
“This Is What $4,000 Truffle Looks Like.”
Although Kyle Chan isn’t a part of the Bling Empire cast, his jewelry shop was the location for a Diamonds and Truffle party hosted by Kane and Kelly. He also had one of the wealthier quotes on the show.
When Kane and Kelly got to the shop, the entire room was decked out in crystals, diamonds, and truffles. When Kyle showed Kane the platters of truffles, he introduced him to what $4,000 worth of truffles looked like. For this group, spending thousands of dollars on one item of food is the norm.
Jaime Xie
“Dorothy’s Father Is Also A Billionaire On Forbes.”
Jaime Xie slowly became one of the best characters on Bling Empire. Her dry sense of humor and iconic fashion sense set her apart from the others.
She’s one of the few members in the group who was close to newcomer Dorothy Wang. In a confessional before going shopping with Dorothy, Jaime told the cameras that she got along well with Dorothy because they had similar backgrounds. More importantly, both of their dads are billionaires…
Christine Chiu
“My Purse Cost More Than This…”
In season 1, many wondered how Dr. Gabe Chiu and his wife Christine Chiu made their money before Bling Empire. Dr. Chiu is a plastic surgeon and a descendent of the Song Dynasty and Christine has said that she too comes from family money.
At the end of season 2, Christine and Dr. Chiu went to a classic car auction in Las Vegas where they were hoping to leave with a new car for Father’s Day. While browsing, Christine saw the price tag of one of the cars and said that her purse cost more than the car. If that wasn’t rich enough, she later spent $150,000 on a classic Corvette.
Kevin Kreider
“All This Crystal Just Shattered On The Ground. I Just Feel So Bad. It Must Have Been Thousands Of Dollars Worth Of Crystal.”
Kevin Kreider doesn’t have the most Instagram followers among the cast but he is one of the most liked. Being newer in the group, viewers found him more relatable and down-to-earth.
Anna Shay and Kevin are complete opposites but she had a soft spot for him. She appreciated those who weren’t obsessed with money or climbed the social ladder — which was Kevin. In one scene, Kevin stopped by Anna’s house and helped her with a chandelier where he accidentally knocked over a plate of crystals. He guessed he ruined thousands of dollars of crystals and was mortified. Funny enough, Anna was so wealthy she wasn’t phased and found it funny.
Anna Shay
“Usually They’ll Say Black Tie, White Tie, But There Was No Clue On This One. So We Said ‘Okay, Fine, We’ll Just Make Our Own.’ So I Called Alexander McQueen And We Went Shopping.”
Throughout both seasons of Bling Empire, Anna Shay stole the show. Her vast wealth, celebrity friends, and treatment of others were what made her so popular.
Before going to Kane and Kelly’s Diamonds and Truffles party, she told the cameras that she created her own fashion look since the invitation didn’t explain the dress code. Instead of going the formal route, Anna proved she had friends in high places when she called Alexander McQueen personally and went shopping for fitted custom looks.
Dr. Gabe Chiu
“There Have Been Auctions That She Went Ahead And Bid Against Herself, Twice.”
Dr. Chiu and Christine have been a part of hilarious and no-so hilarious moments on Bling Empire. Fans saw them discuss their fertility struggles and, in season 2, learned that Christine was grieving the loss of her mother.
In a more light-hearted moment from season 2, Dr. Chiu explained at the car auction that sometimes his wife didn’t know how to stop herself when it came to shopping. Although he didn’t want to spend over $100,000 on a car, she kept bidding until they won. Christine and her family are so rich that Dr. Chiu noted she’s outbid herself twice in the past.
Kevin Kreider
“They’re Kind Of Like Potty-Humor Billionaires”
Mimi and her husband Don were newcomers to Bling Empire’s season 2. And while they didn’t have many scenes together, their life at home was incredible. Filled with crystals and expensive furnishings, Don explained that he earned his riches by owning 28 different companies.
When Kevin inquired about Don’s businesses, he said he earned his living through fire protection and plumbing. In a hilarious scene, Don explained he made bullet-proof friendly toilets, to which Kevin called him a”potty-humor billionaire.”
Dorothy Wang
“Oh, I Thought It Would Be More.”
Fans of other shows like Bling Empire, like The Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, would remember Dorothy Wang. It’s been years since Dorothy was on that former reality show and was now happily mingling with a new group of friends.
At the end of season 2, Dorothy explained that she was leaving California for a new life in the Big Apple. After touring an impressive apartment in New York City with a well-known realtor, Dorothy asked how much the apartment they were looking at was. Without getting into much detail he said around “$7-9” as in $7 to $9 million. Without batting an eye, Dorothy said “Oh, I thought it would be more,” packed her bags, and bought the apartment.
