Blade Runner: Black Lotus Cast & Character Guide (Japanese & English Dubs)

Blade Runner: Black Lotus Cast & Character Guide (Japanese & English Dubs)

Blade Runner: Black Lotus boasts impressive casts of voice actors in both its English and Japanese versions. While the subtitles vs. dub debate may never be settled, those who appreciate each format can be certain that the first Blade Runner animated series is a high-quality production. This is not surprising given the talent behind the series includes Appleseed director Shinji Aramaki, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex director Kenji Kamiyama and Cowboy Bebop director Shinichirō Watanabe.

The first television series produced in the Blade Runner universe, Blade Runner: Black Lotus is the product of a joint venture between Adult Swim and CrunchyRoll. Black Lotus is set in the year 2032, firmly between the two Blade Runner movies, 10 years after the creation of replicants was outlawed completely. The series centers around an amnesiac young woman named Elle, who exhibits amazing fighting prowess despite her apparent youth.

While Elle is an original character created for Blade Runner: Black Lotus, the series features characters who previously appeared in Blade Runner 2049. In some cases, the English Blade Runner cast includes the original actors from the movies voicing the same characters they played in live-action. Here is a rundown of all the core characters from the show and the actors who play them in both the English and Japanese versions.
