Bioshock Infinite Vigor Bottles Made In Real Life

A handy Bioshock Infinite fan has impressively managed to craft real-world versions of the vigor bottles players can find throughout the game. It has been almost eight years since Bioshock fans experienced their last new piece of content in the Burial at Sea expansion for Infinite, but all three main games did receive a remaster with 2016’s Bioshock: The Collection.

The rise of social media has allowed fans of all intellectual properties to not only connect more frequently but also show off their love for their fandoms in new and exciting ways. One of the most prolific benefits to come from this connectivity is the broadening of fan art and all it encompasses as creators have more means and freedom than ever to express themselves. While the age of the internet has allowed much of modern fan art to be done digitally, there are still many creators who craft physical works of art and the latest addition to this set pays tribute to the eight-year-old Bioshock Infinite.

Reddit user apochere has been hard at work recreating some of the vigor bottles from the game and recently gave an update on their progress. The two newest additions to the collection include Return to Sender and Bucking Bronco, which will join the already completed Shock Jockey, Murder of Crows, and Undertow. Per the request of some commenters, apochere included some photos of their process in this latest update as well.

If apochere is planning on recreating all of the vigors from the base version of Bioshock Infinite, then they are more than halfway done. There are a total of eight vigors Bioshock protagonist Booker DeWitt can discover and use to his advantage without the Burial at Sea expansion. The last three vigors apochere would need to create to finish the full base game set are Charge, Devil’s Kiss, and Possession. While it seems likely this is the Redditor’s plan, there appears to be no indication that they will expand into recreating some of the DLC content.

While the finished products are beautiful works of art to behold, the images showing the creation of the vigor bottles are even more fascinating in some respects. According to the Reddit thread, this is not the first time apochere has attempted to make similar pieces and they have made adjustments over the years to perfect both the process and the product. The results of their hard work are undeniable and the bottles look like they were plucked right out of Bioshock Infinite. Apochere has easily earned the praise for their work.
