Big Brother stars Angela Rummans and Tyler Crispen have called off their engagement. The two first met inside the famous house when they competed together on season 20 of the hit reality show. They instantly had a connection as they began not only working together in the game but forming a close personal relationship. Playing together all the way until the end, Angela ultimately came in fourth place while Tyler was just shy of winning the half-a-million-dollar grand prize when he came in second.
Tyler proposed to Angela on the beach in February 2021 after dating for three years. Now, almost two years after getting engaged, Tyler and Angela have called it quits. An inside source told Us Weekly that the two have been broken up for quite some time now. Out of respect for Angela and Tyler, their closest friends have kept quiet about the breakup. Many also thought they would eventually get back together, as it started as simply taking a “break.”
Rumors of Big Brother’s Tyler & Angela Breaking Were Swirling For A While
The news of Tyler and Angela breaking up did not come as much of a surprise to fans. While this isn’t the first time rumors claimed Tyler and Angela broke up, many noticed the two Big Brother stars had not been posting together on social media nearly as much. In addition to this, Haleigh Broucher, who competed alongside Tyler and Angela before later becoming good friends with Angela in real life, subtly confirmed the breakup on social media as well. An allegedly deleted Tik Tok was shared by the Instagram account @haleighbroucherfanpage in which Haleigh captioned the original video “When my best friend’s life dramatically improves after she cuts off her toxic ex.“
Tyler and Angela have both kept quite busy since first leaving the Big Brother house together in 2018. Tyler went back into the famous house to compete yet again during Big Brother: All Stars in 2020; however, due to missing Angela, Tyler ultimately did not play as strong of a game as his first go at the competition. Angela, on the other hand, recently competed on The Challenge USA alongside other fellow Big Brother alum. Together, Tyler and Angela wrote a cookbook and started a jewelry company over the last four years of being together.
Currently, neither of the Big Brother former houseguests has spoken out publicly about their recent breakup. Despite calling it quits, both Tyler and Angela do in fact still follow each other on social media, which means they may have ended things on good terms. The real reasoning behind the breakup is unclear for now.
