Big Brother: 10 Houseguests Who Hurt Their Reputation By Playing Again

Big Brother: 10 Houseguests Who Hurt Their Reputation By Playing Again

Big Brother 24 is taking over the summer as a new cast of houseguests has moved into the Big Brother house. Throughout the history of the series, there have been plenty of returning players. Some returnees do well, while others cannot recapture the magic from their previous season and smear their reputation in the game.

Players that return are former winners, players who just missed the ultimate prize, and houseguests who wanted redemption. However, these houseguests should have thought about closing this chapter in their lives and not returning. Their later seasons impacted their Big Brother resume negatively.

Boogie

Big Brother: 10 Houseguests Who Hurt Their Reputation By Playing Again

Boogie was a part of one of the best alliances ever in Chilltown. He played three times, but some of his weaknesses were shown when he played for the final time.

After winning Big Brother All-Stars, Boogie cemented himself as a great player. When he returned to Big Brother 14 and was pushed into the game as a player against his wishes, he only had two people he trusted, Frank and Ian. However, Boogie failed to see that Ian was not with him and orchestrated his blindside. This showed faults in his game as Boogie failed to make the jury since he was voted out in 10th place.

Nakomis

Nakomis played on Big Brother 5 and then was voted in as an all-star two seasons later. Her ability to manipulate and strategize made her a great player, but she struggled during her second season.

Nakomis was best known for her strategic mind as she was responsible for the first-ever backdoor plan, which is still frequently used in today’s game. She made it all the way to the final four when she was voted out. In her second season, she was quickly on the outside of the majority alliance and one of her allies was voted off first. She was then nominated alongside her other ally and was voted out in 13th place, which was a major downgrade after her first season.

Janelle

Janelle looking unimpressed in Big Brother.

Janelle is commonly known as the queen of Big Brother and the best player to never win. She played a total of four times and her first two times, she was incredible.

Janelle won 14 HOHs and vetos between seasons six and seven, nine of those in the same season. She came in third in both of these seasons and probably would have won if she made the final two. However, in her last two attempts, she failed to make the jury both times because of the massive target on her back. It is hard to say this hurt her reputation, as she is still one of the best of all time, but it did drop her average placement from 3rd to 8th.

Kaysar

Kaysar was an important figure in Big Brother history, as he appeared on the show three times. However, in all three times he played, he failed to make the jury.

In his first season, he was in a decent position, but he made a classic Big Brother mistake and trusted Jennifer, which backfired. After being on seasons six and seven and placing 10th in both games, he decided to go back on the show for some redemption. On Big Brother 22, he did not have any luck as the majority alliance was able to get him out of the house quickly in 13th place. He was a loved figure in the show’s history but coming back for a third time just to not get to the jury again, was a tough blow to his resume.

Keesha

Keesha smiling widely for the camera in Big Brother.

Keesha was originally on Big Brother 10 and was a fan favorite. She decided to come back for the second installment of Big Brother All-Stars.

Keesha was largely involved with everything that went on during her first season. She controlled the first few weeks with her girl’s alliance with Libra and April. Then, helped The Renegades for the rest of the season. She came in fourth and won America’s favorite juror. When she returned to the house many years later, things did not go nearly as well. Keesha was immediately an outsider and was nominated simply because the HOH, Cody, did not know her. She was evicted first in 16th place by a rough 13-0 vote.

Kevin

Kevin was first on Big Brother 11 and was never really in the majority, but still made it far. On Big Brother 22, however, he struggled with his game.

Even though Kevin never had a strong alliance in Big Brother 11, his social game was strong enough to make it to the final three and he was not nominated until week nine. When he lost the final HOH, he was voted out in third. Things did not go as smoothly during his second time playing, as Kevin was not in any true alliances. He was nominated five times and had a hard time connecting with other houseguests. He did make it far but had no real impact as he did in Big Brother 11.

Frank

Frank Eurdy from Big Brother looking at the camera and smiling.

Frank was mostly known for his first season, Big Brother 14, and he was a large underdog for most of the summer. He was a part of a twist in Big Brother 18 that saw four former houseguests return.

What made Frank so likable in his first season was that after Boogie left, his back was against the wall. He needed to win competition after competition to stay alive in the house. In his second season, Frank did not have the same lovable, underdog energy. He had more of an ego and had more fights than he did in the first season, which caused him to fail to make the jury. He went from America’s favorite houseguests to a pre-jury elimination.

Ian

Ian won Big Brother 14 and later returned to Big Brother 22. His sneaky game which worked in his first season did not get the same results in his second.

Ian won his first season as he laid low and fed one side of the house information from the other. Unlike his former ally and Dan, who did well in returning to Big Brother, Ian was not able to utilize this strategy during the all-star season as a majority secret alliance dominated the game. The week that he was evicted was unlucky for him as he was not the initial target, but ultimately, was not able to maneuver his way out of trouble. His game was not terrible, but he went from a winning season to 11th place.

Paul

Paul Abrahamian smiling for a promo photo for Big Brother.

Paul was first on Big Brother 18 and returned one season later to Big Brother 19. Their placement was famously the same in both seasons as they came in second twice.

Paul focused their first season more on being good at competitions, while their second season was geared more towards being manipulative and socially dominant. While playing again did not hurt his game resume, as their placement was the same, it did tarnish how Big Brother fans felt about them and their gameplay. Some feel as if the producers gave them many lucky breaks early in the season to ensure they make it through the first few weeks. Even though some still think they should have won, he hurt his reputation by lying when it was not necessary and some thought they overplayed.

Nicole A

Nicole was a giant fan favorite during Big Brother 21 and was voted America’s favorite houseguest. When she returned one season later for all-stars, she had one big misstep that resulted in her eviction.

Nicole was a social butterfly during her first season. She was savvy, and, when she was on the block in week 3, managed to flip the vote on Cliff instead of her. She operated under the radar while the majority alliance turned on each other. She was voted out and came in third place. When she returned for all-stars, she misplayed her position and thought Janelle and Kaysar were against her when that was not the whole truth. That caused her position to be blown up, and she was evicted in 15th place.
