Better Call Saul, New Girl Stars & More Auction Wild Prizes To Help Strike-Impacted Crew Members

Cast members from shows like Better Call Saul and New Girl have started auctioning off wild prizes to help crew members as the Hollywood strikes continue. The WGA and SAG-AFTRA are still striking against studios part of the AMPTP over higher wages, streaming residuals, writer’s rooms, and AI regulation in the film and TV industry. As of writing, the writers strike has been ongoing for 135 days, while the actors strike began 61 days ago.

Now, stars from shows like Better Call Saul and New Girl have taken to eBay, auctioning off wild prizes as part of the Union Solidarity Coalition. Prizes include dinner with Bob Odenkirk and David Cross, a Zoom call with Manifest stars Josh Dallas and Melissa Roxburgh, and a Zoom meeting with the main cast of New Girl. All earnings from the auction will go towards a healthcare fund for crew members whose benefits are in danger due to the length of the strikes.

More to come…
