Natasha de Bourg from Below Deck Sailing Yacht is revealing that she never gets used to being underestimated in a male-dominated industry. She won’t accept being told that she is “too pretty” to be a chef. Now, she wants to encourage others to follow their dreams. It’s safe to say that her stint on the show is inspiring fans.
This chef was born in Trinidad. She’s a foodie who is still getting her footing during the new season, amid plenty of drama, such as Gary and Sydney’s relationship. She is having an issue with chief stew Daisy Kelliher. Daisy feels that the chef does not accept help, while Natasha thinks that she is running the galley well without it. Fans have enjoyed seeing the gourmet masterpieces that have come out of the kitchen and landed on guests’ plates. Nothing but the best is expected from the chef, as she has high standards. de Bourg has traveled to 17 countries to hone her skills, and she recently spoke out about how proud she was to represent her home country. She keeps shooting for the stars when it comes to her achievements.
Bravo and Hayu fans were outraged when the chef was mistaken for a deckhand and a stew by other Below Deck Sailng Yacht season 2 cast members. This happened during the very first episode. As the culinary queen first boarded the boat, chief stew Daisy and Dani Soares asked Natasha if she was a stewardess. Below Deck franchise fans believe that she will put the next person who asks that question in their place. While Natasha rolled with the punches, she told Screen Rant exclusively that she was used to it, saying, “I think the way people think is stereotyped.” When asked her initial reaction, she said it was, “what the heck!?”
Natasha from Below Deck Sailing Yacht, which was filmed in Croatia, made it clear that any stereotype is wrong. She doesn’t think we should classify people or “categorize” them based on their job. The Michelin star chef then revealed that she was often told she was “too pretty” to be a chef. Natasha says people have also told her that they had never seen a skinny chef before, revealing that “it’s not a compliment. It’s an insult. It’s a bad mentality for people to have.”
Sadly, it probably won’t be the last time the reality star is judged on her looks, but she is breaking the glass ceiling by showing viewers that anyone can achieve their goals if they work hard enough.
