Below Deck Mediterranean: Are Natalya & Kyle Friends Again? (Why Their Feud May Be Over)

Below Deck Mediterranean season 8 may have aired out the dirty details of Natalya Scudder and Kyle Viljoen’s feud, but the pair could be back to being friends now that the Mustique has docked. Below Deck Med, the original spin-off of the beloved Bravo series Below Deck, documents the lives of the crew of a luxury superyacht sailing charters through the Mediterranean. The series has brought dozens of stews and deckhands into the Below Deck franchise, including Kyle and Natalya, who debuted on Below Deck Med season 7. Working with Captain Sandy Yawn, the crew is able to work, live, and party on the superyacht during the charter season.

Natalya and Kyle’s relationship has always been complex, and after their time on the Mustique, many felt that their friendship would never recover. Natalya was excited about the idea of having Kyle on the Mustique with her, hopeful that they would be able to use each other as confidants. Kyle wasn’t as interested in being Natalya’s shoulder to cry on. The pair got into some serious spats which led to the demise of their friendship entirely. When Natalya left the Mustique, many felt Below Deck Mediterranean season 8 would be the last time she and Kyle were seen together.

Kyle Shared A Friendship Post On Instagram

After a year away from the Mustique, Kyle and Natalya shocked Below Deck Med viewers with a recent post on Instagram. The pair, who notably unfollowed and blocked one another on Instagram after the season wrapped, posed together in a series of photos, smiling and happy that their friendship seems to be on better terms. Kyle explained in the post, “It has been a year in the making but time heals most wounds however, we’re just glad to being back as friends again.” While he didn’t give details about what sparked the reconciliation, many are curious how their reunion came to be when Kyle & Natalya have still been fighting.

After their feud on Below Deck Med, the pair kept away from one another on social media and stayed quiet about each other in public. When BravoCon 2023 rolled around in early November, many were surprised to see that Natalya and Kyle would be on the same panel for the Below Deck franchise with a group of other stars. According to audience members, Kyle and Natalya got into a fight on stage during the panel. The fight wasn’t major, but enough to let viewers know that the pair weren’t okay with one another in the slightest. After just a few weeks, hearing their beef has been squashed is a curiosity.

Natalya Unblocked Kyle On Social Media

Although Below Deck Med‘s Kyle and Natalya have only been on speaking terms for less than a month, things appear to be going well between the friends. While both had chosen to block and unfollow each other on social media, they’ve both reassessed as they’ve been working on repairing their friendship. While Natalya doesn’t appear to be following Kyle just yet, she did unblock him on Instagram, as he was able to tag her in the post he made about their friendship being back on track. Though social media is only a sliver of what viewers are able to see, Natalya following Kyle does signify a change in their relationship.

Could This Be A PR Move? Below Deck Med Fans Think So

While many viewers are excited to see Kyle and Natalya back in each other’s good graces, others believe that the entire feud and reconciliation could’ve been a PR stunt. Throughout Below Deck Med‘s run, there have been several feuds between crew mates, captains, and even charter guests. While Natalya and Kyle were friends before Below Deck Med season 8, it wasn’t shocking that the pair fell into a feud, but something didn’t seem entirely right about their fight either. There were clearly hurt feelings involved for both Natalya and Kyle, but the basis of their argument felt flimsy. Some believe Kyle, in an attempt to gain sympathy, may have lied.

Several Below Deck Med aficionados took to Reddit to discuss the idea that their reconciliation could be fake and agreed that it seemed like something was out of sort. Reddit user u/buddy88bull shared that, “she’s still not following him and she doesn’t mention it at all on her page. Wouldn’t surprise me to be a PR stunt from him to get some attention and sympathy.” Many other users agreed, unfazed by the idea of Kyle using his relationship with Natalya for clout. Though the pair haven’t shared anything else about their reconciliation, Below Deck Mediterranean viewers may not want to know anything else about the potentially clout-chasing pair.
