Beavis & Butt-Head Cast Guide: Who Voices Each Character

Beavis & Butt-Head Cast Guide: Who Voices Each Character

After the release of Beavis & Butt-Head Do the Universe in June, Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head, and its cast, is back in the spotlight. 11 years after the last season aired on MTV, series creator Judge and a veteran writing team return in collaboration with rising comedy writers to bring Beavis and Butt-Head to a new generation. Animation studio Titmouse, Inc. picks up with animating the series where it left off after Beavis & Butt-Head Do the Universe.

After being dropped off in 2022 by a black hole in Beavis & Butt-Head Do the Universe, the title teenage duo returns in the reboot season to terrorize each other and their fellow residents of Highland, Texas with snarky comments and idiotic mischief. With television music videos left behind as mere relics of past MTV programming, Beavis and Butt-Head turn their signature commentary on TikTok and YouTube. Outside of reacting to assorted internet content, the boys resume their typical odd adventures with incidents like mistaking a bathroom for an escape room and getting trapped in a cardboard box.

The reboot season will see Judge return as the show’s primary voice actor. He will be joined by a rotating cast who will bring the other residents of Highland, Texas to life. Here’s a guide to the cast of Beavis and Butt-Head season 9.

Mike Judge as Beavis

Mike Judge will return as Beavis. The chaotic Beavis acts as a sidekick to his friend Butt-head. Beavis is notably a pyromaniac and becomes the incomprehensible Cornholio when he eats too much sugar. While Judge is most famous for his work on Beavis & Butt-Head, he also acted as executive producer for King of the Hill and voiced lead character Hank Hill.

Mike Judge will also return as Butt-Head. Butt-Head leads the duo and forms a calmer—although conceited and overconfident—contrast to the volatile Beavis. While Butt-head is marginally smarter than Beavis, he is still responsible for a fair share of the trouble the pair causes.

Mike Judge as Tom Anderson

Mike Judge Tom Anderson

The elderly war veteran Tom Anderson is a consistent victim of Beavis and Butt-Head’s troublemaking. Despite his advanced age, Tom Anderson is still alive in the Beavis and Butt-Head reboot season and continues to suffer under the pair’s antics. Tom Anderson is voiced by Mike Judge.

Thomas Middleditch as Stewart Stevenson (Probably)

Thomas Middleditch as Stewart

In the original season, Stewart Stevenson is a young teenage boy who looks up to Beavis and Butt-Head. In contrast to the duo’s general antagonism, Stewart is a genuinely kind boy, and he believes the two are his friends despite evidence to the contrary. An older Stewart is slated to return in the new season. Originally voiced by Adam Welsh, Stewart’s current voice actor is unconfirmed, but it will likely be his season 8 voice actor, Thomas Middleditch. Middleditch has voiced characters for Rick and Morty, Bob’s Burgers, and Solar Opposites and played Richard Hendricks in the show Silicon Valley.

Mike Judge as David Van Driessen

Mr. Van Driessen is a patient teacher at Highland High School. Along with Stewart, he is one of the few characters to tolerate Beavis and Butt-Head, and he believes in their potential despite everything. He still works at Highland High in the reboot season. Mike Judge will continue to voice David Van Driessen.
