In Batman vs. Robin #4 by DC Comics, The Dark Knight takes on a new, stronger form as he uses Doctor Fate’s greatest artifact to stop Mother Soul and the Devil Nezha from controlling the people of Earth and beyond.
In Batman vs. Robin #4 by Mark Waid, Mahmud Asrar, Scott Godlewski, Jordie Bellaire, and Steve Wands, Batman fights his magically corrupted son Damian, who has been controlled to help the Devil Nezha and Mother Soul acquire the most powerful magical items in the Universe. As the Devil Nezha is about to put on Doctor Fate’s Helmet of Fate, Talia al Ghul knocks it from his hands, allowing Batman to pick it up and put it on himself for an incredible power upgrade. By becoming Doctor Fate, Batman becomes one of the most powerful heroes in the DC Universe.
Batman Gets One Of His Most Powerful Upgrades Ever
While Batman has gained some incredible power-ups before, including stepping in for the New God Metron and sitting atop the Mobius Chair, gaining Doctor Fate’s helmet gives The Dark Knight one of his most powerful forms. Wielding the helmet grants Batman the god-level magical power of the Lord of Order. While Batman’s time as Doctor Fate is brief, he shows what a powerless hero can do with the incredible magic artifact. He goes toe-to-toe with the Devil Nezha, creating magical constructs that temporarily subdue the villain. However, when Nezha removes the Helmet of Fate and kills Batman, it creates a domino effect setting the stage for a transformed DC Universe.
While Batman is bought back to life by Black Alice, the Helmet of Fate falling into the Lazarus Volcano is about to change the DC Universe as heroes and villains will take on new forms due to the magical chaos. The eruption will lead into the Lazarus Planet event, which will see Martian Manhunter take on an even deadlier form, Superman with an electrifying new appearance, and the Red Canary gaining claws, among the many changes.
But, for Batman, it appears he will continue as Doctor Fate, as he will seemingly get a chance to take on the role of DC’s most powerful hero for the time being. Batman vs. Robin #4 by DC Comics is in comic book stores now.
