Batman is Being Framed For Turning The Justice League Into Vampires

Warning! Spoilers for DC vs. Vampires #3 by DC Comics

With Batman discovering who was responsible for the death of Barry Allen and turning his fellow Justice League members into vampires, the Green Lantern and Wonder Woman are framing the hero for their crimes. In DC vs. Vampires #3 by DC Comics, Batman’s investigations discover that the Green Lantern killed Zan from the Wonder Twins – and that he likely killed the Flash as well. However, before he could tell the Justice League, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern lie to them and reveal Batman killed Barry Allen.

DC vs. Vampires has seen a vampire invasion affecting the Justice League, with Green Lantern Hal Jordan seemingly being the hero was first turned. In the limited series, the Green Lantern brutally murdered Zan from the Wonder Twins after discovering he was the vampire inside the Justice League. Hal also killed Barry Allen after his fellow vampires told him the Flash couldn’t be turned as he would be too dangerous as a speedster vampire. Batman has been hot on the case after Andrew Bennett left him a note warning him about the vampire emergence. But now, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman are framing him for the recent murder of the Flash.

In DC vs. Vampires #3 by James Tynion IV, Matthew Rosenberg, Otto Schmidt, and Tom Napolitano, more heroes turned into vampires are revealed – including Zatanna and later Wonder Woman, who Hal Jordan bites during a tense confrontation. Meanwhile, Batman goes to the sewers to find the remains of Zan, ultimately discovering a piece of his bone. He deduces it was cut not by a blade of metal but of light, making it obvious the Green Lantern was responsible. However, before he can break the news to the rest of the Justice League, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern frame him for Barry Allen’s murder, telling the superteam Batman killed the Flash.

Batman is Being Framed For Turning The Justice League Into Vampires

Will the Justice League believe Wonder Woman that Batman killed the Flash? It depends. The league is desperate to find the Flash’s killer and might accept the easiest answer. Although, the reveal could backfire, as Batman has more than enough information to implicate Hal Jordan in Zan’s murder and reveal he’s a vampire.

It seems framing Batman will come down to who the Justice League trusts more, him or Wonder Woman (and Green Lantern). Two voices might be stronger than one – meaning Batman will likely have to prove his innocence while making sure no more members of the Justice League become vampires in the process. DC vs. Vampires #3 is in comic book stores now.
