Barbie 2 receives a positive update as writer-director Greta Gerwig changes her stance on a potential sequel, saying “I want to do it.”
During an interview with Deadline at Vanity Fair‘s Oscars after-party, Gerwig said there is “no resistance” from her on the possibility of Barbie 2. Though she initially wasn’t “feeling” the idea of a sequel, she’s warmed up to it. “I’m not dismissing it, I want to do it,” she says.
