Back 4 Blood: How to Win Body Dump (Act 3 Guide)

One of the most difficult levels in Back 4 Blood, at the end of Act 3, is the mission, “The Body Dump.” Players must go around the level destroying nests, fighting multiple Ogres, and fending off hordes of the Ridden. The level is also full of T5 grenades in crates that will hit enemies with an 800% damage buff, making it a bit easier to deal with the Ogres.

The Body Dump” takes place toward the end of the story in Back 4 Blood, and it can be very challenging, even for experienced players. Those hoping to beat the game on Veteran should be prepared to attempt this run more than once. Players will need to take down nests first, then kill all the remaining Ogres that they may have missed or avoided along the way. The grenades in the level help, but there are a few strategies and a recommended path that will make the mission easier.

Before completing the last mission in Act 3 of Back 4 Blood, players will need to beat “Road to Hell.” This mission is fairly easy on any Back 4 Blood difficulty setting, as it is just a linear path with a standard number of Ridden along the way. However, players who are out of continues before “The Body Dump” may need to start another run in order to complete it. As the second to last mission in the whole campaign, “The Body Dump” presents a decent challenge for players and their companions.

How to Beat Body Dump in Back 4 Blood

Back 4 Blood: How to Win Body Dump (Act 3 Guide)

At the beginning of “The Body Dump” mission in Back 4 Blood, players will exit the safehouse into a junkyard filled with the Ridden. They can stop by the helicopter where the objective and T5 grenades are located. Then, they should head down the hill to fight the first Ogre, and use the T5 grenade to offset its power.

Following this, players should travel under the bridge to find three nests that need to be destroyed. The first will be to the left, and there are three nodes to destroy for it. The nodes can be found by following the glowing roots. The easiest way to take down a nest is to keep moving constantly and to shoot each node quickly. A swarm of Back 4 Blood‘s Ridden will be chasing and attacking the player throughout this process.

Using the markers on the map, players should get to the second nest, which can be found in the middle of the area. An Ogre will spawn on the way, so they should use the T5 grenade and take it down before getting to the next nest. They can repeat the same process used to destroy the first one, remembering to keep moving constantly. Another Ogre will spawn after the second nest is destroyed, but players should have enough time to quickly take out the last nest before the Ogre reaches them. After all the nests are gone, the last objective is to kill the remaining Ogres.

Any Ogres left can be hit with a T5 grenade and shot while moving around and dodging its attacks. When the Ogres are all killed, a cutscene will trigger, and the mission will end. Getting through this area can be challenging, but as long as players move continuously and use the T5 grenades, they should be able to complete it. “The Body Dump” mission can be played either with the bots in Back 4 Blood or on multiplayer mode.

Back 4 Blood is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
