Bachelorette: Gabby & Rachel Poke Fun At Clayton In IG Post

The stars of the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia, poked fun at their ex-boyfriend Clayton Echard after their tumultuous experience on his season of The Bachelor. Clayton infamously told all of his final three women, Gabby, Rachel, and Susie Evans, that he loved them and slept with both Gabby and Rachel on their respective fantasy suite dates. When Clayton admitted this to Susie, she could not accept it, and left the show.

When Clayton later realized that Susie was his final choice, he told Gabby and Rachel that he loved them all, but he loved Susie “the most.” He broke up with them both, and asked Susie for a second chance, but she rejected him. However, in a shocking turn of events, during the “After the Final Rose” episode, Clayton and Susie revealed that they had gotten back together. They have been a happy couple ever since. In another surprising twist, Gabby and Rachel were announced as the dual leading ladies of The Bachelorette.

In an Instagram post, Gabby and Rachel poked fun at Clayton’s chaotic season. Gabby posted the promotional video for The Bachelorette, but it was her hilarious caption that really caught her followers’ attention. She wrote, “I am in fact in love with three women,” a clear jab at Clayton’s statement from his season. In the comments section, Rachel continued to roast Clayton writing, “I love you the most,” one of his most infamous lines. Gabby replied, “Nu uh.” The comments section was filled with support from fans who loved how Gabby and Rachel called out Clayton’s missteps.

The promotional video shows Gabby and Rachel dressed in red rose-patterned dresses, loading red luggage into the trunk of a cherry red convertible. In a nod to the classic film Mean Girls, Rachel tells Gabby, “Get in, loser. We’re going shopping,” and Gabby adds “for a husband.” Rachel cheers and the caption reads, “Two best friends. One unbelievable journey. This season it’s petal to the metal,” as rose petals rain down on the women.

A sign that people have gotten over a bad situation is their ability to laugh at it, and Gabby and Rachel are doing just that with their hilarious Instagram comments. The consensus about Clayton’s season of The Bachelor was that it was one of the most ridiculous, so laughing about it now seems appropriate for the women. They have wrapped up filming their season of The Bachelorette so perhaps these playful comments are a sign that they are over the Clayton drama and have found happiness on their own show. Hopefully, Gabby and Rachel’s season of The Bachelorette ended with them finding real, true love.

The Bachelorette premieres Monday, July 11 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
