Bachelor: Reality Steve Reveals Two Other Stand-in Hosts for Paradise

Reality Steve has revealed that two other celebrities will stand in as rotating hosts for the upcoming season of Bachelor In Paradise. This news followed the confirmation that actor and comedian David Spade will be a BIP guest host for the upcoming seventh season of the reality dating show.

Although it is unknown what Chris Harrison’s future with The Bachelor franchise will be, it is clear he will not be returning for the new season of Bachelor In Paradise. Chris decided to take a step back from the franchise after receiving backlash from controversial comments he made back in February. Chris and alum Rachel Lindsay discussed the drama surrounding recent Bachelor contestant Rachael Kirkconnell. Rachael received the final rose from Matt James, who was the franchise’s first Black Bachelor. While the show was still airing, pictures surfaced of Rachael attending an antebellum-themed fraternity party in 2018. An antebellum-themed party is more common in the South and celebrates racist behaviors while taking place on old slave plantations. When discussing the pictures, Chris argued, “Well, Rachel, is it [not] a good look in 2018 or is it not a good look in 2021? Because there’s a big difference.” He apologized the next day on his Instagram before announcing his temporary step-back from the show.

On Twitter, Reality Steve announced that, alongside David, the two additional Bachelor In Paradise hosts are Wells Adams and Sarah Hyland. Wells was a contestant in season 12 of The Bachelorette and has been the bartender for Bachelor In Paradise for the past three seasons. Sarah is Wells’ fiancé and a superfan of The Bachelor franchise. She is also an actress, most commonly known for her role as Haley Dunphy on the hit show Modern Family. Neither Sarah nor Wells have commented on their new role as guest hosts for the upcoming season.

Other news mentioned in the tweet is that comedian Chelsea Handler was allegedly supposed to be another guest host alongside David Spade. According to Reality Steve, it got pulled at the last minute. Fans in the comments seemed to have a mix of emotions on the new rotating celebrity guests. In response to the possibility of Chelsea being a guest host, a Twitter user said, “So someone as controversial as Chelsea Handler can host BIP but Chris Harrison can’t. Haha. Ok.

Although the reason for the new guest hosts of Bachelor In Paradise is unfortunate, it will be exciting to see a new dynamic on the hit summer show. The past few seasons have been extremely routine. From the same fireworks that conclude one-on-one dates to hearing Chris saying the season is “unlike any season we have ever seen” in every episode, it will be nice for viewers to genuinely not know what to expect. Even if it is just for one season, it is always nice to see some changes and fresh faces.

Bachelor In Paradise premieres August 16 at 8pm on ABC.
