Bachelor: Nick Viall Says Clayton Echard’s Finale Will Be ‘Insane’

After watching Clayton Echard’s finale of The Bachelor, Nick Viall warns viewers they have no idea just how shocking and “insane” the episode will be. This echoed recent comments about the conclusion of Clayton’s journey made by host Jesse Palmer. In an interview, Jesse teased many jaw-dropping moments, and it seems Nick agrees.

Clayton’s tenure as Bachelor has certainly given fans plenty to talk about. The 28-year-old’s casting as the season 26 lead was controversial to begin with. Throughout the season, there’s been plenty of drama both on and off the air. There were problematic contestants like Shanae Akney and Cassidy Timbrooks. Then Teddi Wright accused Clayton’s brother of sliding into her DMs. But that was nothing compared to the backlash after the fantasy suites episode. The Missouri native declared his love for all three finalists and slept with two of them. This lead to Susie Evans’ exit, with viewers accusing Clayton of gaslighting Susie as they split. Some have speculated that she will return for the finale. While he didn’t indicate whether or not that was true, Nick’s reaction showed there will be many surprises to come.

After watching a sneak preview of the finale, Nick posted a reel on his Instagram account on Sunday, March 13th. The clip showed his awe-struck reaction to the episode. Repeatedly describing it as “nuts” and “insane,” the Viall Files podcast host claimed the finale is shocking from the very beginning. Nick brought up a number of iconic Bachelor moments, such as Ari Luyendyk Jr.’s messy behavior and Colton Underwood jumping the fence. Hyping Clayton’s finale even more, Nick went on to insist the episode makes those look like “child’s play.”

Continuing to claim the episode is one gasp-worthy moment after another, the 41-year-old described his experience watching it as “most of the time just shaking my head in disbelief.” While joking that his post wasn’t and ad, he told his followers, “you have to watch it…it will be the most talked about finale I think ever. Ever.” The season 21 lead captioned his reel, “I truly can’t believe what I just watched. I can’t wait to discuss it with you all!” In the comments, fellow Bachelor Nation alum Jason Tartrick joked, “Did you just see a ghost?”

Some fans in the comments section indicated how excited they were. One wrote that, despite not watching the season, they’re tuning in for the conclusion. Others hinted they’ll believe it when they see it. A few brought up that the franchise advertises every finale as the most shocking ever. But considering how season 26 has gone so far, Nick’s proclamations could be correct. While appearing on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s podcast, Clayton claimed no one has correctly guessed how his season ends. Jesse Palmer also teased that he will have many, many questions for Clayton on the After The Final Rose. Thankfully, fans of the series won’t have to wait much longer to see the much-hyped episode for themselves.

The Bachelor season 26 finale airs Monday, March 14th on ABC. It will be followed by After The Final Rose.
