Bachelor In Paradise: Why Johnny Deserves Better Than Victoria

Bachelor In Paradise: Why Johnny Deserves Better Than Victoria

Johnny DePhillipo has had a rocky relationship with Victoria Fuller so far on Bachelor in Paradise season 8, but he deserves more stability than she is giving him. Johnny competed for Gabby Windey on The Bachelorette season 19, while Victoria had a tumultuous relationship with Peter Weber on The Bachelor season 24. Johnny and Victoria had an instant connection when they met on the beach, and they both gave one another their first rose of the season. However, when the split week occurred, Victoria decided she also wanted to explore a relationship with The Bachelorette season 13 alum Alex Bordyukov.

Johnny, on the other hand, stayed loyal to Victoria during the split week and made it clear to the new woman that he did not intend to pursue any new relationships as his connection with Victoria was already so strong. Along with Brandon Jones, who’s a great match for Serene Russell, and Aaron Clancy, Johnny spent the week having fun with his friends and waiting for Victoria to return. While Victoria did not initially pursue any of the new guys at the resort, she eventually decided that she was too interested in Alex to let him go. Victoria later received a date card before returning to the beach and took Alex on a romantic one-on-one.

Victoria Has Not Been Loyal To Johnny On Bachelor In Paradise

Bachelor In Paradise: Why Johnny Deserves Better Than Victoria

Johnny has made it very clear that he is loyal to his relationship with Victoria, and he deserves someone who will be just as loyal to him. While Bachelor in Paradise is a place to explore relationships, when connections reach a certain point, they become more exclusive. Since the time on Bachelor In Paradise goes by very fast, Johnny and Victoria’s connection was already at a strong point by the time split week happened. If Victoria felt the same way about Johnny that he did for her, she would not have tried to pursue a relationship with Alex. Johnny deserves a partner who will reciprocate his loyalty and commitment, and it does not seem that Victoria is that person for him.

Johnny also deserves someone who will not openly flirt with others in front of him while they are pursuing him, as Victoria did with Alex when he arrived at the beach. Victoria was open with Johnny about her connection with Alex, and he was understandably not happy about it. However, Victoria, who dated former Bachelor Chris Soules, later made things even worse when she flirted with Alex right in front of Johnny and even kissed him.

Johnny deserves a partner who will not have hypocritical reservations about him and his character. During the split week, Victoria expressed she had concerns about Johnny as he was only 25 years old while she was 28. Victoria explained she did not feel that Johnny was ready for a commitment due to his age. However, this was hypocritical of Victoria as she was 26 when she first appeared on The Bachelor. It is also biased of Victoria to question Johnny’s commitment when he was the one staying loyal to their relationship while she wasn’t.

Bachelor In Paradise airs Mondays & Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
