As fans gear up for the newest season of The Bachelorette premiering on July 11th, Bachelor Nation is also anxiously awaiting the season premiere date for Bachelor in Paradise. It has been confirmed that the eighth season of the show will start this fall on Mondays and Tuesday nights, taking over the Dancing With The Stars time slot.
Fans took to Reddit to speculate not just who will be on the beach, but who might be coupling up. With two Bachelorette seasons in a row and only one Bachelor season, there seem to be more men to choose from, but the eclectic group of women from that one season might say otherwise.
Teddi Wright
As the first impression rose from Clayton’s season, fans of Bachelor Nation are dying to see Teddi on the beaches of Paradise. The 25-year-old from California made it far in Clayton’s season, but viewers agree that she deserves better. Not only do fans think that Teddi will grace the beach, but they think that she’ll be one of the first ones to step on the sand as well.
Redditor AaRonBalakay22 even goes as far as to say, “I expect Teddi and Serene to be the most strongly pursued by the most guys.” If this is the case, some guys will have an advantage going onto the beach as Teddi has listed Andrew Spencer, Brandon Jones, and Ben Smith as men she’d be most excited to see in Paradise.
Rodney Matthews
A fan favorite from Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette, Rodney brought the fun, goofy energy, and viewers are expecting him to bring that same charisma to the beach. Reddit user OllieOllieOxenfry shares that hope by saying, “I think Rodney is one of the best personalities I’ve ever seen on The Bachelorette. He is so kind, genuine, warm, funny, gracious, and endearing. Hopefully, we will see him on Paradise.”
Rodney recently has been spotted as part of The Bachelor: Live on Stage show hosted by Becca Kufrin. This appearance could be a good sign that he’s open to finding love again through the franchise.
Shanae Ankney
Known as “the villain” from Clayton’s season, Shanae became notorious for faking tears, turning girls against each other, and most importantly eating shrimp. Though fans may not have loved Shanae or her antics, they are well aware that production loves the drama.
User Singleguy79 took to Reddit to say, “We’re going to get more Shanae, aren’t we?” And though viewers will probably be getting more Shanae, they’ll also get more entertainment as she always knows how to keep fans of the show on their toes. Paradise has been a great place for villains to get redemption stories. Maybe Shanae could also seek some redemption from fans on the beach.
Peter “Pilot Pete” Weber
Pilot Pete is no stranger to dating the women from Bachelor Nation. He shared time in the infamous windmill with Hannah Brown and then from his own season of The Bachelor, ended up bouncing around after picking Hannah Ann Sluss, and then Madison Prewett, and then Kelley Flanagan.
With former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin, finding love on the beach last summer, it could be time for Pilot Pete to finally get his own love story. Fans on Reddit doubt that they’ll see him as user jeahboi adds, “I feel it’s unlikely, but I really need to see Pilot Pete on that beach.” Though fans are not sure if it’ll actually happen, they are keeping their hopes up.
Mara Agrait
The 33-year-old spent a lot of her time on The Bachelor talking about how she was “wife material” and the other girls were not. Though things did not work out for Mara with Clayton, paradise may be exactly where she needs to look to find a guy that’s husband material.
Many fans on Reddit are pretty positive that Mara will be gracing the beaches of Paradise. But user unravelledrose points out, “I think Mara will only be asked to go if Sarah goes. The producers of The Bachelor love their drama.” It is true that rivals and drama starters from previous seasons of the show find their way to paradise together. Though it sometimes makes for drama, with multiple men to choose from, the two may not end up fighting at all.
Dale Moss
Fans may not have loved how Dale proposed to Clare so abruptly on her season of The Bachelorette but now that their almost cringe-worthy relationship is over, fans think it’s time for Dale to get his redemption story. Reddit user ihatepickles123 mentions that, “I need this man on BIP. He high key needs this show too.”
Dale would most definitely bring an interesting aspect to the beach and may be able to win himself over with Bachelor Nation. Viewers know that he’s not shy to propose, something that Bachelor in Paradise could give him another shot at.
Tahzjuan Hawkins
If Tahzjuan appears on this season of Paradise, it will be her third time on the beach, and fans seem to think that maybe the third time is the charm. She brings the comedy to the beach through her blatant honesty as she’s known to say what everyone else is thinking.
Bachelor Nation loves her commentary and like hughsbro said on Reddit, “Tahzjuan is the queen of paradise.” If Joe Amabile was the king of paradise last season, then without his return, fans definitely need to see the queen.
Aaron Clancy And James Bonsall
Aaron Clancy has been in the talks to be back on Bachelor in Paradise since the “Women Tell All” at the conclusion of Clayton’s season. He was brought up by many women, saying that he and Genevieve Parisi were already seeing each other. Though both parties vehemently denied it, they were seated next to each other at the “After The Final Rose.” If Parisi heads down to the beach, Clancy is a shoo-in.
And if Aaron is going, viewers will definitely be graced with James Bonsall’s presence as the two are a packaged deal. Fans on Reddit know this to be true as one Reddit User said, “You know the producers will bring back Aaron (I guess his buddy James too cuz those two can’t be separated.” After the two left the beach together last summer, it would be no surprise if they showed up together this season.
Serene Russell
Not only did fans fall in love with Serene during Clayton’s season, but they also fell in love with her brother who made an appearance during her hometown date. Though she didn’t make it to Clayton’s top three, viewers agree that Serene will be better off in paradise.
Reddit users agreed with Ok_shirt8531 who said, “Serene will be day one in BIP and she has already had multiple guys say she’s the first person they want to meet.” With multiple men already expressing interest in Serene, and her reciprocating some of that interest, it would be a surprise if fans don’t see her on the beach.
Brandon Jones
Brandon got his heart broken by Michelle Young on The Bachelorette but fell into the hearts of Bachelor Nation. Viewers not only want to see Brandon in Paradise, but they expect to see him. Fans have taken to Brandon’s Instagram to ask him who he’d want to see on the beach and expressed interest in Serene, Teddi, and Genevieve.
User AnyChildhood1747 agrees with those picks and adds, “I’ve been shipping Brandon and Teddi since the cast photos of Clayton’s season came out.” Paradise is all about happy endings, and with Teddi and Brandon both expressing interest in each other, it will be likely that fans will see them on the beach.
