Bachelor: Clayton Echard’s Season 26 Premiere Sparks Hilarious Memes

Bachelor Nation fans have taken to social media to share hilarious memes about the chaotic premiere episode of Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor. This week, viewers got their first taste of The Bachelor season 26 starring Clayton as the lead. Following his mostly unmemorable appearance on Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette, however, many fans didn’t know what to expect from Clayton’s journey as the leading star of The Bachelor.

During Clayton’s first night as the Bachelor, he was introduced to a cast of 31 women vying for his love and attention. A few cast members stood out for the right reasons, but certain others didn’t get as good of an edit. Before the rose ceremony even took place, Claire Heilig was promptly sent home. Then, Clayton went on to eliminate contestants Daria Rose, Hailey Malles, Ivana Noble, Jane Paik, Lindsay Dobbs, Rianna Hockaday, and Samantha Jeffries at the first rose ceremony of Clayton’s season.

Now that ABC has officially kicked off The Bachelor season 26, viewers are taking to social media to share their thoughts, reactions, and funny memes. As seen in the tweets below, Bachelor Nation star “Grocery Store” Joe Amabile questioned how it was possible for Salley Carson to have access to a phone while filming The Bachelor. A fan then joked about how many nurses were cast for season 26 following the COVID-19 pandemic. Then, a Twitter user addressed how most fans feel whenever a contestant reveals they’re a virgin on the show. For context, Teddi Wright talked during the premiere about being a virgin. She ultimately received Clayton’s first impression rose.

There were even more hilarious tweets shared during the season 26 premiere. For one, a Bachelor viewer noted that Salley should’ve probably gone to therapy instead of appearing on Clayton’s season. Another fan pointed out how Clayton wanting to give Salley a rose made absolutely no sense given the backstory she had just told him. Last but certainly not least, a Bachelor Nation fan joked about how they feel aged-out every time they open the TikTok app. Overall, most viewers didn’t appear to have any particular reaction to Clayton as a lead. However, there were plenty of hilarious memes about his cast of women.

You can always count on Bachelor fans to have fun on social media while watching their favorite show. Some viewers are still hoping for the best with Clayton’s season, but there are also those who are feeling unimpressed by what they’ve seen so far. Nonetheless, only time will tell if this is indeed one of the most dramatic seasons of The Bachelor as it was promised by new host Jesse Palmer.

The Bachelor season 26 airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
