Baby Yoda and The Mandalorian Go Shopping in Cute Webcomic

One of the most surprising things about the Disney+ series The Mandalorian was just how special Mando’s bond with Baby Yoda was. The Child softened the previous loner bounty hunter’s tough exterior, and the two formed an unbreakable connection. In one excellent webcomic, Mando succumbs to the cuteness of Baby Yoda, once again.

The Mandalorian tells the tale of a Mandalorian who’s become one of the toughest bounty hunters in the galaxy. He’s hired to track down an unknown asset and bring it back to The Client – the man who hired him, who used to be part of the Galactic Empire. However, after discovering the asset is a cute, 50-year-old being who is a baby, Mando decides to back out of his deal and takes The Child for himself. An incredible bond blossoms between the inquisitive Baby Yoda and Mando, as the bounty hunter does everything in his power to keep him safe.

While fans wait to find out what’s in store for Mando and Baby Yoda in season two of The Mandalorian, artist Kayla Bee Marie did an amazing fan comic that shows how special The Child is to the former bounty hunter. In the comic, Baby Yoda and Mando are walking through vendors on an alien planet, when The Child reaches out for a doll that interests him. Mando doesn’t hesitate in throwing down the necessary credits to buy it. However, Baby Yoda isn’t fully satisfied with just one doll, and as Mando tells him no more, he hits his father-figure with some seriously sad puppy eyes.

Mando’s heart isn’t made of stone, as he ends up buying every single doll for Baby Yoda. The final panel shows Mando driving his ship with The Child in his rightful place, surrounded by all different types of dolls. The look on his face is that of pure glee. Did Baby Yoda manipulate Mando with his unparalleled cuteness and make him buy all of the dolls for him? Absolutely. But, Mando doesn’t seem to mind. He just wants The Child to be happy, and with all of the dolls, that sure seems to be the case. The webcomic is short and cute. While it’s doubtful the scene would ever play out like that in The Mandalorian (as they’ve got more pressing matters at hand), it’s an extremely adorable moment brought to life by the artist.
