An Avengers theory explains the secret behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most tragic couple getting together. Among the best MCU couples appear names that have been with the universe for many years, such as Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter, Tony Stark and Pepper Potts, and others. Now, an Avengers theory aims to explain the secret behind the beginning of the romance.

The Mind Stone May Have Helped Vision And Wanda Fall in Love

The new Avengers theory claims that Wanda and Vision might have been helped to fall in love by the Mind Stone. Wanda’s first appearance in the MCU featured her stuck in a cell in a Hydra base and being experimented on with exposure to the Mind Stone. WandaVision reveals that the Mind Stone didn’t give Wanda her powers, but it was instrumental in unlocking the power hidden within her. Vision, too, is deeply tied to the Mind Stone, as it was used along with the JARVIS AI to give him consciousness and life.

According to the Avengers theory, the deep bond that both characters share with the Mind Stone, with Vision being alive due to the Mind Stone that is strongly connected to Wanda, is the reason why the two were drawn to each other. While that theory makes sense, it does not explain why Wanda and Vision ended up falling deeply in love with one another, as was seen throughout their MCU journey, with WandaVision putting the couple among the MCU’s best and definitely the most tragic. Still, the Avengers theory is a great explanation for why the romance started.

Is Vision And Wanda’s Love Story Over In The MCU?

Currently, the Scarlet Witch seemingly died in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the original Vision is gone, with White Vision rising in his place. While things seem dire right now, there is still hope for Vision and Wanda’s love story, as the Scarlet Witch’s newfound popularity in recent years all but guarantees that Wanda will be back, and due to White Vision’s android nature, he could come to get Vision’s old mind back. That said, Vision’s death was a major stepping stone in Wanda’s MCU journey, and undoing that in a future Avengers movie or another project might make her loss to grief less impactful.
