Avengers Campus Spider-Man & Iron Man Funko Pops Are Already Sold Out

Disneyland’s newly opened Avengers Campus debuted exclusive Spider-Man and Iron Man Funko Pops sold out within days of being available for preorder. The Avengers Campus attraction opened to the public on June 4th at Disneyland’s California Adventure Park in Anaheim, California. The park’s opening ceremony featured the web-slinger in action, in addition to stars like Anthony Mackie and Paul Rudd, to build the crowd’s excitement.

In addition to the Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! ride that was previously available, the newly unveiled Avengers Campus added a variety of new attractions. These include Doctor Strange’s Sanctum, Hank Pym’s Test Kitchen, The Collector’s Warehouse, and the Avengers Headquarters. A new Spider-Man attraction debuted as well. Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure gives people the opportunity to shoot webs via “The Worldwide Engineering Brigade” (referred to in the park as W.E.B.) and even features an appearance from Tom Holland.

The Spider-Man W.E.B. Disney Park exclusive and the Iron Man’s W.E.B. Funko Pop have already sold out at shopdisney.com. The Spidey Funko features Spider-Man in his Spider-Man: Homecoming suit, with a Spider-Bot in his hand. The Spider-Bots are available for sale on the Avengers Campus but not online. Meanwhile, Iron Man’s W.E.B. Funko has the hero coated in metallic paint, but that also sold out at shopdisney.com.

The release of the Funko Pop toys and the opening of the Web Slingers adventure could not come at a better time for Disney. With movie theaters finally reopening across the country, audiences are eager to return to cinemas. Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit theaters in December, and fans have begun to express their excitement for the film. Disney capitalizing on this with new Funkos and the official opening of the Spider-Man attraction will further build anticipation for the film’s release.

The new Iron Man figure fits in line nicely with the ideas behind the new park attractions. It is a reminder of where it all began for Marvel Studios, as well as an excellent play on the relationship Iron Man and Spider-Man had developed within the MCU. The park further reinforces these connections and gives great importance to what the MCU has created while offering visitors a personal connection to the franchise.

As the park and the cinematic universe expand, there is no doubt more exclusive Funko Pops will be released to honor different characters throughout the MCU and build hype for whatever additional add-ons they choose to bring to Avengers Campus. The Funko Pop Iron Man and Spider-Man sold out fast, making it clear the market has a high demand for the figures.
