Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is still in jeopardy, with plans for a retitle resurfacing in recent reports that delve into Marvel’s plans to save the MCU. For several months surrounding Kang star Jonathan Majors’ conviction, speculation has swirled over the fate of Kang’s titular movie. This followed a lackluster response to the villain’s cinematic debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and was compounded by the controversy surrounding Majors.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel is going ahead with plans to retitle Avengers: The Kang Dynasty while either minimizing or omitting Kang entirely as part of its overarching efforts to remedy recent stumbling blocks.
