Assassin’s Creed Mirage: How To Assassinate Al-Ghul (Without Getting Caught)

<

As you make your way through Assassin’s Creed Mirage, playing as Basim, you will be tasked with eliminating several targets with the first major enemy being Al-Ghul. After infiltrating the Damascus Gate Prison early in Assassin’s Creed Mirage your attention will turn to eliminating the first of five targets. With the game set in the desert, many of the locations that you will visit are settlements, and Caravanserai set just outside of Baghdad, is the one where you will find Al-Ghul.

Before trying to enter Caravanserai you should summon Enkidu to scope out the area and plan a route in, with one option a secret entrance on the north side of the settlement. It is a section of water that you can swim through which takes you under the outside walls allowing you to enter unnoticed. However, you can enter in a number of ways as long, as you blend in with the locals once inside. The easiest way to do this is to stay with groups, continue to keep moving, and stay in the shadows when possible. The other option is to go in and take down enemies one after another with stealth. The areas under the walls are safe, but the upper walls surrounding Caravanserai are full of guards keeping watch who will need to be assassinated.

Luring Al-Ghul out in Assassin’s Creed Mirage (Option 1)

Once you near the settlement you will receive the objective to lure Al-Ghul out to be able to assassinate him.

As is the case in many scenarios in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, there are two different ways this can be accomplished. The first and more obvious way to lure out Al-Ghul is by speaking to a merchant just outside the main entrance to Caravanserai. He will ask you to find and return items that have been taken from him.

This will require you to sneak into the complex unnoticed by using the secret entrance, but this method will still see you needing to take out a number of enemies. There will be several guards as soon as you emerge from the river, but they can be easily dispatched.

The merchant’s crate can be found in the southwest corner of the Caravanserai, but whichever route you take you will need to either be quick or carefully take out guards one at a time. In particular, there is one guard, who is near to the package that is not easy to remove without others seeing. There is a nearby musician who will start playing after you have spoken to him, giving you enough time to work your way around without being seen and retrieve the items.

Once you have picked up the blue crate you will then need to escape Caravanserai, by jumping over the wall and returning them to the merchant. He along with other merchants will walk in as a group to the center of the settlement and make a scene, causing Al-Ghul to come out in the open.

The second and by far easiest way to lure Al-Ghul out is by helping the workers inside the Caravanserai to diminish Al-Ghul’s workforce. On the north side of the complex, there is a worker who is walking backward and forwards. If you speak to him, he will task you with finding a handler who can help them out.

Three handlers are marked on the map, but only one will be able to help. He is the one under the outer wall directly opposite from where you have spoken to the worker. You can silently make your way around the outside or go straight through the middle if you can blend in with groups to hide your identity.

Once you find speak to him, he will give you an offer for a deed for the slaves. Even if you have saved up enough coins so far in Assassin’s Creed Mirage you should always reject this offer due to the really high price, but once you have, you can follow him and pickpocket the item. He will keep stopping to talk with other NPCs in the market area, giving you lots of opportunities to blend in with the crowd and take the deed. Once you have the deed, return it to the worker in the north of the complex and he will declare the workers are free which will trigger Al-Ghul to come out of hiding.

Once you have completed either of the above distractions your goal displayed on screen will be updated to show ‘Your actions have garnered Al-Ghul’s attention. He’s exposed.’ From whichever position you are in after the first part of the mission you will be close by to Al-Ghul standing on a balcony as he prepares to speak to everyone in Caravanserai. You simply need to scale the building he is standing above, on one side there is a lift, and on the other side, there is a ladder.

Avoid any guards on the way to the bottom of the building, and you should have a safe passage up. On top of the building where Al-Ghul is based, there will be two guards who will both need to be taken out silently if you haven’t already been up here. Once you are above him walk out across the ledge, look down on him and a cut scene will follow showing you assassinating Al-Ghul.

The first main assassination target in Assassin’s Creed Mirage is an easy introduction to the latest title in the series and one that you can complete with ease by following the basic steps.
